Trump and Carlson: Biden’s SOTU Address

If a majority of Americans agree with some of the reactions to President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address, and stick to those opinions come November, he will be a one-term president. Come this time next year, he’ll be scaring ice cream back in Delaware.

The leftist mainstream news media — Biden’s Information Ministry — thought it was a “fiery” oration, “fiery” being their code for “we liked it because he attacked Orange Man Bad.”

But if the two most important conservatives in the country right now — Donald Trump and Tucker Carlson — are right, it was an angry, deranged rant unworthy of the commander in chief.

Former President Donald Trump reacted in real time on his Truth Social platform. He called Biden “angry” and an “embarrassment.” Tucker Carlson called him a “cruel and vicious demagogue.”

Upshot: Biden hates his country and its people, and can’t win the next election unless he cheats.

Trump: “An Embarrassment”

In running commentary on Truth Social, Trump relentlessly attacked Biden.

“Crooked Joe Biden is on the run from his record,” Trump said to open a short video after Biden finished. Biden is “lying like crazy to try and escape accountability for the horrific devastation he and his party have created.”

Trump then explained the condition in which he left the country’s immigration situation in 2020, including its controlled border and sound immigration policy. “We had the safest border in the history of the country.”

But Biden immediately dismantled what Trump had done. “What happened now is a horror show,” he said. “Over the past three years, Biden has actively aided and abetted the importation of millions and millions of illegal alien migrants and resettled them into your communities.”

Biden could have stopped the invasion, but instead “is keeping the hordes of illegal migrants and illegal aliens pouring into the country,” Trump continued:

By the time his term is up, we could have close to 20 million people in our country. And we have no idea from where they come. We have no idea who they are. They have no identification. Many come from mental institutions, many come from prisons. They’re terrorists. We have a calamity the likes of which we have never seen before.

“He wants to take away everyone’s gun. Remember that when you go to the Voting Booth, because if I’m not elected, your guns are GONE, along with your Freedom!” he added.

Later, “That may be the Angriest, Least Compassionate, and Worst State of the Union Speech ever made. It was an Embarrassment to our Country!”

This morning, Trump called Biden a “psycho.”

Carlson — Biden Cares About Ukraine, Not America

Carlson wasn’t quite as brutal as Trump, but the summary was much the same: An angry Biden delivered a dark speech, not a “fiery” call to arms.

Biden is not only a “doddering old man, a guy who can’t remember when his son died,” but “Joe Biden is also a cruel and vicious demagogue, a man who has no problem at all denouncing his fellow Americans,” Carlson said,

Or putting his political opponents in prison as he has done. And that was all on display tonight. That was possibly the darkest, most un-American speech ever given by an American president. In fact, it wasn’t a speech, it was a rant, entirely lacking in decency or generosity to his fellow Americans.

In Joe Biden’s very first sentence, he compared Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler. He did not describe Trump as the other party’s candidate, which he is, a political opponent in a country that’s had peaceful elections for 250 years. No, according to Joe Biden, Donald Trump is Adolf Hitler. He’s an existential threat to freedom and democracy. If he wins you will die and so will your country. That was the first sentence, but that was really the last time he mentioned the United States at all for paragraphs and paragraphs.

Carlson noted that Biden’s top priority is “sending billions more to Ukraine … a war across the world that has nothing to do with the United States.”

He continued:

The invasion of Ukraine is the most important thing to Joe Biden. Not ending the invasion of our own country by drug cartels, which control huge swaths of the southern United States at this point. Not our degrading economy.… Not our collapsing schools.… Not the 100,000 fentanyl deaths every year…. Not the declining life expectancy…. Collapsing public health and epidemic of suicide and murder.… Ghost armies of drug addicts living on the streets right outside the chamber where the speech was given tonight. None of that matters. Biden’s top priority is aid for Ukraine. It was deranged.… This is insane.

Worse still, he said, GOP House Speaker Mike Johnson nodded in agreement.

Carlson said Russia’s defeat in the war with Ukraine might be a priority because “Russia is the largest white Christian country in the world.”

Biden’s pro-abortion message was puzzling, Carlson continued, “at a time when fertility rates for actual Americans are below replacement” and millions of illegal aliens are invading the country. Biden and Democrats don’t want Americans to have children. “That’s the path to extinction. Why would they want that? … Ponder that.” But if abortion to doesn’t apply to you, he said, “what can you do to guarantee that you will have no descendants?” Apropos of Biden’s vow to “transgender Americans” that “I have your back,” Carlson said parents “can always castrate your children and end your lineage. No more grandchildren. And Joe Biden wants to help.”

“Political reality is,” he concluded, “Joe Biden can’t win in a fair election. Joe Biden will lose in November.” And plans are afoot in the Justice Department to steal the election by blocking voter ID laws, he said.

Another top conservative, GOP Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana, said that the Biden administration “has been breathtakingly awful,” having “mismanaged” Covid, crime, inflation, Ukraine, Afghanistan, the border, the economy, inflation, and the national debt.

“That is the unvarnished truth, and the American people deserve better,” he said.
