The Democratic Party intensified its war against girls and women yesterday.
Almost four dozen U.S. senators voted to block a bill that would forbid “trans women” — men who pretend they are women — from playing in women’s sports.
The House passed such a measure last month.
Yet the party did more than abandon girls and women to predatory men who crush them in sporting events. They also showed they learned nothing from election results on November 5.
The Bills
The Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act is straightforward and differs only slightly from the companion bill in the House, which passed that chamber on January 14.
“It shall be a violation of subsection (a) [of the Education Amendments of 1972] for a recipient of Federal funds who operates, sponsors, or facilitates athletic programs or activities to permit a person whose sex is male to participate in an athletic program or activity that is designated for women or girls,” the bill says.
And importantly, it continues, “sex shall be recognized based solely on a person’s reproductive biology and genetics at birth.”
The House bill includes a provision that requires the comptroller general to study the effects of men in women’s sports.
The study will include “looking at benefits to women or girls of participating in single sex sports that would be lost by allowing males to participate,” the bill says, and “shall document the adverse psychological, developmental, participatory, and sociological results” of permitting men to join women’s teams.
That includes “displacement or discouragement from sports participation, deprivation of a roster spot on a team or sport, loss of the opportunity to participate in a practice or competition, loss of a scholarship or scholarship opportunities, loss or displacement of admission to an educational institution, deprivation of the benefit of an environment free of hostility based on sexual assault or harassment, or loss of any other benefit that accompanies participating in the athletics program or activity.”
The Votes
Only two Democrats voted for the House bill; 208 voted against it.
Their colleagues in the Senate voted the same way. Men, they said, must be allowed to play women’s sports, no matter how unfair — and no matter how women suffer severe or even life-threatening injuries.
The party-line vote was 51-45 on a motion for cloture to permit the bill to proceed. The motion needed 60 senators to vote yes. Thus, despite being in the minority, the Democrats blocked the bill.
“The Democrats decided to take it down and not even allow us the opportunity to debate this bill,” said GOP sponsor Tommy Tuberville of Alabama. Noting that he has daughters and a granddaughter who play sports, Tuberville said the matter is one of “common sense” and that 80 percent of Americans polled don’t want men in women’s sports.
Fury on X
Fury ensued on X, with prominent women posting or reposting the names of the 45 Democrats who voted against protecting women and girls.
“These 45 cowardly Senators just voted against keeping men out of your daughter’s sports,” the White House’s Rapid Response X feed said.
“They disgust me,” commentator Megyn Kelly wrote over the post.
Libs of TikTok posted on X:
A UN report on “violence against women and girls” revealed that more than 600 female athletes have been beaten by male competitors in women’s sports. Female athletes also lost nearly 900 medals to males identifying as trans. Every single Democrat Senator just voted to allow this to continue.
Minutes later, the feed posted video of a bruiser who sent a girl into the floor during a basketball game.
“Giant male in a MA school injured 3 girls during a girls basketball match,” the post explained:
They ended the game early before he can hurt more girls and had to forfeit the game due to injuries.
Every single Democrat Senator just voted against keeping men out of women’s ports.
Democrats don’t care about your daughters’ safety.
Former collegiate swimmer Riley Gaines, who faced a man called Lia Thomas — recently banned from the Olympics and other world events for women — vented her anger as well.
“Never, ever let them gaslight you into thinking Democrats care about ‘women’s rights,’” Gaines wrote.
And, “it’s not just federally elected Democrats who hate women. It’s proving to be virtually ALL elected Democrats at ALL levels,” she wrote in another post:

The Democrat Bug Brain must have sent a pheromone message nationwide to keep men in women’s sports.
Sissy Boys, Injured Girls
A prime example of what Democrats voted for yesterday is Payton McNabb. McNabb took a spike to the face from a muscled “trans girl” that doused her lights for 30 seconds.
As she lay on the floor, she told a writer:
the boy who hit me and the girls on his team were standing on the other side of the net laughing at me.
The spike gave her a concussion, vision problems, and partial paralysis on her right side.
A “trans woman” who plays soccer in Australia broke the leg of an opponent — a real woman.
But aside from the injuries, permitting “trans women” to compete against women is simply cheating, says Gaines.
As Tuberville noted, voters overwhelmingly favor banning men from women’s sports. And the Democrats’ stubborn insistence in favor of the “trans women” has alienated voters, including top party members.
Indeed, the insanity is one reason top Democrat rainmaker Lindy Li left the party. She said:
I want to be a part of the team that says men are men and women are women and that men shouldn’t play in women’s sports.
On February 5, President Donald Trump signed an executive order that forbids federal funding for schools and colleges that permit men to play women’s sports.
