The Ukraine funding and immigration bill to which Stupid Party Senate Republicans agreed will fund subversive refugee assistance groups to the tune of more than $2 billion.
As well, the bill would permit almost 5,000 illegal aliens a week to enter the country before requiring the secretary of homeland security to declare an emergency. Asylum applicants, almost all of whom are bogus, would be authorized to work here.
And it would spend just one third of the money on the border that it will waste on Ukraine’s unwinnable war against Russia. More than $24 billion goes to Israel and Gaza.
Upshot: The bill does little to nothing for Americans, and everything for foreigners.
The Details
The devil, as they say, is in the details of the 370-page monstrosity that few if any congressmen will read or understand.
Those who do will find that it amounts to an illegal-alien amnesty, and a bonanza for “refugee assistance” groups that collect tax money to undermine the country.
The bill would spend $2.33 billion for “refugee and entrant assistance,” money that will “remain available” until September next year.
The money will go for “grants or contracts with qualified organizations, including nonprofit entities, to provide culturally and linguistically appropriate services, including wraparound 16 services, housing assistance, medical assistance, legal assistance, and case management assistance.”
Aside from pouring money into leftist refugee groups that are helping Traitor Joe Biden flood the country with penniless Third World vagrants, the bill also permits almost 2 million to enter the country before the homeland security secretary does anything about it.
“The Secretary shall activate the border emergency authority if during a period of consecutive 7 calendar days, there is an average of 5,000 or more aliens who are encountered each day; or on any 1 calendar day, a combined total of 8,500 or more aliens are encountered.”
Theoretically, if Border Patrol agents encountered an average of 4,900 illegal migrants every seven days, then 1.79 million illegals annually could try to cross the border before the secretary declared an emergency.
A section of the bill called “promoting legal immigration” contains a blanket work authorization not only for approved asylum applicants but also their “fiance’s, fiancee’s, spouses and children.”
The secretary of homeland security also has blanket authorization to approve work authorization for aliens not otherwise entitled to work.
In other words, the bill will take even more jobs from Americans and give them to foreigners.
As for Ukraine, Republicans agreed to spend three times as much money on President Volodomyr Zelensky’s corrupt regime as it did on closing the southwest border of the United States.
Just $20 billion goes to the border. Meanwhile, Zelensky will get $60 billion. Where that money goes no one will know. As The New American reported last week, five Ukrainians are charged with stealing $40 million of U.S. aid, and the country has repeatedly dealt with corrupt officials.
As well, Zelensky’s corrupt regime recently supervised the murder by neglect of Gonzalo Lira, an American commentator who exposed the folly of Ukraine’s continuing fight with Russia. As well, he canceled elections scheduled for next month before he landed in Washington, D.C., in December to beg for more money.
Another $14.1 billion will go to Israel, and another $10 billion goes to Gaza to help civilians caught up in the Hamas-Israel war.
Total spending, including the rest of the waste, fraud, and abuse: $118.28 billion.
Reaction
The GOP’s surrender on the border deep-sixed the deal as soon as it was released.
GOP conservative Josh Hawley of Missouri and Tommy Tuberville of Alabama denounced it as an open-borders amnesty.
“This is an open-borders bill if I’ve ever seen one,” Hawley wrote on X. “The Democrats are celebrating already.”
Said Tuberville:
I can’t believe this is the “border security bill” that’s been ”negotiated”.
This bill DESTROYS American sovereignty. It will weaken immigration laws for decades and handcuff the next President that actually wants to secure our borders and defend our country. This bill has been crafted to solidify the invasion of illegals into the United States of America.
I’m an immovable NO.
And indeed, House leaders say it won’t get a vote.
“I’ve seen enough,” GOP Speaker Mike Johnson.
This bill is even worse than we expected, and won’t come close to ending the border catastrophe the President has created. As the lead Democrat negotiator proclaimed: Under this legislation, “the border never closes.”
If this bill reaches the House, it will be dead on arrival.
“Let me be clear,” House Majority Leader Steve Scalie Lousiana said, “The Senate Border Bill will NOT receive a vote in the House.”

New York’s Elaine Stefanik noted that the House has passed a border security bill and would reject the Senate’s offering that will “further incentive” illegal immigration.
