Senator Kamala Harris (shown), the hate-Trump Democrat who lied about U.S. Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh during his confirmation hearings, is presumptive presidential nominee Joe Biden’s top choice for vice president.
Biden promised he would pick a woman to be his running mate, but he didn’t say he will likely choose a woman who suggested he was a racist during a Democrat presidential debate, as Politico reported.
For her part, Harris must explain why she believed the evidence-free allegations against Kavanaugh, but doesn’t believe Tara Reade, who has at least six corrobrating witness to her sex-assault and harassment accuations against Biden.
Apparently, the chance to run for vice president supersedes what we were told was an urgent priority during the Kavanaugh hearings: believe women.
Harris believes Biden.
Best Fit
Harris is the “best fit” for Biden, the webzine reported, despite hurling down the race card during the second Democratic debate.
At the time, Biden was under fire for praising Southern “segregationists” and for opposing forced busing.
Said Harris, “It was hurtful to hear you talk about the reputations of two United States senators who built their reputations and career on the segregation of race in this country,” she said. “And it was not only that, but you also worked with them to oppose busing.”
But then came the personal touch: Biden’s support for “segregationists” hurt a wee school girl in California named Kamala Harris: “And, you know, there was a little girl in California who was part of the second class to integrate her public schools, and she was bused to school every day. And that little girl was me.”
But all is well between the pair, Politico reported:
Biden and his family were stung by the June debate exchange over his record on school busing. The attack was particularly hurtful because of Harris’ bond with Biden’s late son Beau, also a one-time state attorney general.
But Biden and others close to him have come to view Harris’ debate knockdown as part of the rough and tumble of presidential campaigning.
Even before Harris ended her own campaign last year, aides said she and Biden were already stealing warm moments together. And friends of former second lady Jill Biden — who as recently as March described Harris’ attack as a “punch to the gut” — said they’ve mulled ways for her to telegraph that it wasn’t a deal breaker for the California senator’s chances, perhaps by sharing her posts on social media.
Politico didn’t divulge whether Biden’s “stealing warm moments” included back rubs, Eskimo kissing, or fetishistic hair sniffing, which he is known for, but anyway, leftist Representative James Clyburn of South Carolina explained the rapprochement this way: “I believe strongly that people make mistakes when they allow the heat of a political campaign and things said during a contest to define you.” He added, “Joe Biden is a big boy. I’ve never seen Joe have any animus toward Kamala for what may have been said during the campaign.”
Kavanaugh Lies, Racial Provocateur
Aside from retailing the false allegations that U.S. Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted at least two women, Harris brazenly lied about one of Kavanaugh’s answers to the Judiciary Committee during his confirmation hearings.
Kavanaugh believes that all birth control induces abortions, she tweeted, and “was nominated for the purpose of taking away a woman’s constitutionally protected right to make her own health care decisions. Make no mistake — this is about punishing women.”
The Washington Post gave the absurd rant what it deserved: four Pinocchios.
Harris also claimed that federal agents who toss a net over illegal aliens are no better than night-riding Ku Klux Klansmen: “ICE is administering its power in a way that is causing fear and intimidation, particularly among immigrants and specifically among immigrants coming from Mexico and Central America.”
Didn’t Support Reade
Beyond all that, Harris ignored a plea from Reade to help with her sex-assault allegations against Biden.
“Kamala Harris is my representative, so I tried to reach out to her in particular for help, like I wanted to get a safe place to tell what happened,” Reade told Megyn Kelly last week. “And I didn’t get a response. So I kept, again, trying to get it out there.”
But just as Biden’s former Senate aides have zero recollection of any complaints from Reade in 1993, Harris’ people are clueless, Axios reported: “We have no record of any request,” a Harris adviser told the website.
