On Tuesday, former Secretary of State and First Lady Hillary Clinton joined the chorus of Democrats who have endorsed former Vice President Joe Biden for the presidency in 2020. Clinton joins several prominent female Democrats who have chosen to support Biden despite a credible sexual-assault allegation against the former Delaware senator, which allegedly occurred in 1993.
For Democrats, the #MeToo movement apparently ends where electoral politics begins.
Clinton made her announcement after teasing it on Twitter hours before a virtual town hall hosted by Biden, where Clinton said, “I want to add my voice to the many who have endorsed you to be our president.”
Clinton added, “This is a moment where we need a leader, a president like Joe Biden.” Does Mrs. Clinton know something we don’t? Will the Chinese virus still be a problem in January of 2021?
Clinton joins a long list of female Democrats who have endorsed Biden despite the allegations against him. Many of those endorsements are coming from women who covet a possible vice-presidential nod from the presumptive Democrat nominee. Among them are Senators Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota, Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, Kamala Harris of California, Mazie Hirono of Hawaii, and Tammy Baldwin of Wisconsin. In addition, Biden has gained the endorsement of the loser of the Georgian gubernatorial election, Stacey Adams, who has been actively campaigning for the VP spot.

Nearly every major Democrat, male and female, is now on the Biden train. Former President Barack Obama has endorsed him after remaining silent for a year and a half on who he would support. Former vice president and carbon-credit salesman Al Gore has endorsed Biden. Even Biden’s fiercest campaign rival, Bernie Sanders, has fallen on his sword and endorsed him.
So, despite his inability to string sentences together, his checkered past of racist statements and plagiarism, and his seeming cognitive decline, everything is coming up roses for Joe Biden and the Democrats are unified once again.
Except that it’s not roses that Biden is smelling; it’s more like the stuff that fertilizes roses.
Tara Reade — the woman who has made the sexual-assault allegation against Biden — called out Clinton, and presumably the other Democrats endorsing the former Delaware senator, for “enabling” his behavior.
“I voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016. I voted for her in the primary. I’m a lifelong Democrat. But yet, what I see now is someone enabling a sexual predator and it was my former boss, Joe Biden, who raped me,” Reade told Fox News. “Hillary Clinton has a history of enabling powerful men to cover up their sexual predatory behaviors and their inappropriate sexual misconduct. We don’t need that for this country. We don’t need that for our new generation coming up that wants institutional rape culture to change.”
Reade is the fly in the ointment, the pebble in the shoe, and the dark cloud on the horizon for the Biden campaign. His promise to pick a woman for vice-president rings rather hollow in the face of a credible sexual-assault charge by a former female staffer. And the evidence that Reade is telling the truth continues to grow.
The mainstream media is slowly waking up to fact that they can’t hide the Tara Reade story anymore. After weeks of wall-to-wall coverage slandering then-Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh in 2018 because of a baseless and uncorroborated allegation that he attempted to force himself on Christine Blasey Ford in the early eighties, even the mainstream media must see that it cannot simply ignore Reade’s claims much longer.
Biden’s long history of touching women and children inappropriately is well established. There’s even a website dedicated to his perverse behavior. Unlike the Kavanaugh case, the average person on the street can readily believe these allegations against Biden.
Neither can Democrats and their media brethren simply dismiss Reade as a right-wing smear job. Reade always has been, and remains, a Democrat. These accusations originated solely from Reade and they came to light through anti-Biden far-left media sources.
And Reade is not going away anytime soon.
“I will not smeared, dismissed or ignored. I stand in truth and I will keep speaking out,” Reade told Fox News.
Even if the media decided to give up their last shred of credibility and ignore Reade’s claims, Trump, the GOP and the various political action committees who run ads in favor of them will not. Reade has already provided enough sound bytes to sink Biden’s chances. So the question now is, will Biden make it to November as the Democrat nominee?
