In a long X post that went viral again this week, hedge-fund tycoon Bill Ackman wrote that President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and the Democratic Party are trying to destroy America.
The longtime Democrat contributor listed 33 “actions and policies” that shattered his confidence in the party. Indeed, he wrote, those policies and actions are so destructive that one would think an enemy had infiltrated the country and taken over its leadership.
Released on October 8, the long lament accelerated yesterday after X proprietor Elon Musk reposted the Vigilant Fox’s summary. People viewed the two posts more than 26 million times.
One Bad Policy After Another
Tops on Ackman’s list is President Joe Biden’s “migrant” invasion at the border. That has the full-throated support of Vice President Kamala Harris, who said she can’t think of a single Biden policy she would change.
Biden opened “the borders to millions of immigrants who were not screened for their risk to the country, dumping them into communities where the new immigrants overwhelm existing communities and the infrastructure to support the new entrants, at the expense of the historic residents,” Ackman wrote.
His imposed economic policies and “massive” spending increases “without regard to their impact on inflation and the consequences for low-income Americans and the increase in our deficit and national debt.”
Ackman also cited Biden’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan and his adamant refusal to honor the Americans killed during the withdrawal.
Biden imposed “thousands of new and unnecessary regulations” that harm businesses.
Violent criminals are released without bail, he wrote, and street retailers are being destroyed as the Democrats “promote lawlessness by making shoplifting (except above large thresholds) no longer a criminal offense.”
Biden and the Democrats would “limit and/or attempt to limit or ban fracking and liquefied natural gas, which has raised energy costs and cost the United States its energy independence.”
Ackman also took aim at diversity, equity, and inclusion ideology:
[They] teach our students and citizens that the world can only be understood as an unfair battle between oppressors and the oppressed, where the oppressors are only successful due to structural racism or a rigged system and the oppressed are simply victims of an unfair system and world.
Another target: The “transgender” propaganda that teaches kids that boys can be girls and girls can be boys. Pursuant to that science denial, Biden, Harris, and the Democrats promote chemical castration with hormone blockers, along with and “gender reassignment” — “trans” code for surgical mutilation — “without regard to the longer-term consequences to their mental and physical health.”
Similarly destructive, he wrote, is the deranged policy of permitting boys and men to play girls’ and women’s sports.
Untested Vaccines, No Free Speech, Weaponization of the Law
Policy/Action 13 was mandating “vaccines that have not been adequately tested nor have their risks been properly considered compared with the potential benefits adjusted for the age and health of the individual, censoring the contrary advice of top scientists around the world.”
That complaint naturally segued into the war on free speech and pressuring social media to squelch content that the Biden-Harris administration opposed. That included anti-vaccine and Covid-19 information from top scientists who opposed the virus narrative.
And, obviously referring to Trump, is Policy/Action 15: using “the U.S., state, and local legal systems to attack and attempt to jail, take off the campaign trail, and/or massively fine candidates for the presidency without regard to the merits or precedential issues of the case.”
Ackman zinged the Democrats for lying about Biden’s obvious cognitive decline, while accusing “those who provide video evidence of his decline of sharing doctored videos and being right wing conspirators.”
Even better, he took a note from Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. on the food industry and childhood vaccines:
[Biden, Harris, and the Democrats] do nothing about the deteriorating health of our citizens driven by the food industrial complex, the fraudulent USDA food pyramid, and the inclusion of ingredients in our food that are banned by other countries around the world which are more protective of their citizens;
[they] do nothing about the proliferation of new vaccines that are not properly analyzed for their risk versus the potential benefit for healthy children who are mandated to receive them;
[they] do nothing about the continued exemption from liability for the pharma industry that has led to a proliferation of mandatory vaccines for children without considering the potential cumulative effects of the now mandated 72-shot regime.
As the November 5 election goes, Ackman’s final point is the most important. Democrats oppose voter ID and file lawsuits to stop states from enforcing voter ID laws.
Not Endorsing Everything Trump Does
Ackman, who endorsed former President Donald Trump after the first assassination attempt, wrote that he does not support everything Trump does or has done. But of the two candidates, he is the clear choice.
“In this election, we have only two viable choices,” Ackman wrote:
Of the two, I believe that Trump is by far the superior candidate despite his flaws and mistakes he has made in the past.
Granted, Ackman concluded, the nearly three-dozen policies and actions are those of Biden, Harris, and the Democrats. But they are “actions and policies that unfortunately our most aggressive adversaries would likely implement if they wanted to destroy America from within, and had the ability to take control of our leadership.”
Ackman is not alone, of course. He’s just one of many Democrats who say the party has trekked too far into the fever swamps of the Left.
Most recently, formerly far-left Ana Kasparian of the Young Turks podcast abandoned the woke Left, and explained why: the far-left’s reaction to her story about being sexually assaulted by two homeless men.
Other top Democrats have not only abandoned the Left but also endorsed Trump: Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., and former U.S. Representative Tulsi Gabbard.
Wrote Gabbard on X:
I can no longer remain in today’s Democratic Party that is now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness, who divide us by racializing every issue & stoking anti-white racism, who actively work to undermine our God-given freedoms that are enshrined in our Constitution.
