Former President Joe Biden had prostate cancer during the four years of his presidency, and either no one knew it or the White House hid the diagnosis from the public.
Sadly, the cancer is “aggressive,” and has metastasized to the 82-year-old’s bones.
News about the cancer’s growth — at least five and perhaps 10 years — suggests that White House doctor Kevin O’Connor somehow missed a cancer that could have easily been treated early on but might now kill the former president.
“Aggressive Form,” Had It “Many Years”
The startling “diagnosis came after Mr. Biden reported urinary symptoms, which led doctors to find a ‘small nodule’ on his prostate,” The New York Times reported:
Mr. Biden’s cancer is “characterized by a Gleason score of 9” with “metastasis to the bone,” the statement said.
The Gleason score is used to describe how prostate cancers look under a microscope; 9 and 10 are the most aggressive. The cancer is Stage 4, which means it has spread.
“While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management,” according to the statement from Mr. Biden’s office, which was unsigned. “The president and his family are reviewing treatment options with his physicians.”
An 82-year-old who receives a prostate cancer diagnosis is hardly a surprise. But Biden’s condition most certainly is, given that the metastasis means he’s had the disease for years.
“Very few people get diagnosed this advanced,” said oncologist and Biden Transition Team member Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel:
About seven percent of all prostate cancer in the country gets diagnosed when you have a lesion that’s in the bone and therefore it’s metastatic and incurable. He’s had this for many years, maybe even a decade, growing there and spreading.… It’s a little surprising.
Emanuel noted that the Gleason Score runs from 2 through 10. Biden’s, again, is a 9.
“The cancer doesn’t look normal,” Emanuel continued:
It looks very abnormal, which is probably why it’s in the bone.… It’s been around for a very long time in President Biden, years, exactly how many we don’t know obviously.…
He had it while he was president. He probably had it at the start of his presidency in 2021. Yes, I don’t think there’s any disagreement about that.
On X, Dr. Steven Quay agreed that Biden has had the disease for at least five years.
“Prostate cancer is the easiest cancer to diagnose when it first starts and to watch it progress to bone metastases. The [prostate specific antigen] blood test shows the rate of cancer cell growth,” he wrote:
For even with the most aggressive form, it is a 5-7 year journey without treatment before it becomes metastatic.
Meaning, it would be malpractice for this patient to show up and be first diagnosed with metastatic disease in May 2025.
It is highly likely he was carrying a diagnosis of prostate cancer throughout his White House tenure and the American people were uninformed.
Quay asked whether Biden’s cognitive decline and falling were side effects of cancer treatment.
“It’s very unusual to hear that someone has prostate cancer, where they’re annually being followed up, and the fact that we just find it at a Gleason nine is just pretty much unheard of in this day and age of medicine,” urologist Davis Shusterman told NewsNation.
Shusterman said treatment could explain Biden’s cognitive decline.
He’s “Fit” and “Vigorous”
The revelation about Biden’s disease invited questions about reports that Biden was a dynamo who never rests.
Last year, White House doctor Kevin O’Connor wrote that Biden was “fit for duty.” The year before, O’Connor claimed that Biden “remains a healthy, vigorous, 80-year-old male, who is fit to successfully execute the duties of the presidency, to include those as chief executive, head of state and commander in chief.”
Said Biden White House spokesman Karine Jean-Pierre:
This is a president that works day-in and day-out in a grueling fashion with a grueling schedule and delivers.
That wasn’t true, as news reports made all too clear.
After President Trump crushed the mentally declining incumbent during the debate that ended his candidacy, Axios disclosed that Biden is out of it by 4 p.m.
“The past 36 hours showcased two Joe Bidens: the veteran president rallying voters in a swing state, and an 81-year-old man struggling to string thoughts together in a debate,” Axios reported. The awful debate “shattered the White House’s efforts to show Biden at his best: a president capable of serving until 2029, when he’d be 86.”
That’s because Biden might well have been sundowning.
The time of day is important as to which of the two Bidens will appear.
From 10am to 4pm, Biden is dependably engaged — and many of his public events in front of cameras are held within those hours.
Outside of that time range or while traveling abroad, Biden is more likely to have verbal miscues and become fatigued, aides told Axios.
No Events After 8 P.M.
The New York Times then reported that Biden told Democrat backers that he didn’t function past about 8 p.m. “He needs to get more sleep and work fewer hours, including curtailing events after 8 p.m.,” the Times reported.
No wonder Fox News White House reporter Peter Doocy asked Jean-Pierre about the 8 p.m. deadline to catch Biden.
“So, say that the Pentagon at some point picks up an incoming nuke; it’s 11:00 p.m. Who do you call? The First Lady?” Doocy asked.
But again, the upshot of the news that Biden has “aggressive” prostate cancer can mean only one of two things. Biden wasn’t tested for the disease and no one in the White House — including “Dr.” Jill — knew he had it. Or, frighteningly, he was tested, and everyone in the White House — including “Dr.” Jill — knew he had it.
