The Biden Autopen Scandal deepened yesterday with the revelation that documents supposedly signed by former President Joe Biden “at the city of Washington” were, in fact, signed while he was on vacation in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The scandal surfaced last week when the Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project on X revealed that just one of the documents it uncovered bore a live signature. The rest were autopenned.
The revelations suggest that Biden was not, as many had suspected, running the country during his one term. Radical far-left activists were in charge, as Missouri’s GOP Attorney General Andrew Bailey wrote to the Inspector General of the Department of Justice. Bailey wants the IG to find out just who was in charge at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
Apropos of a revelation from U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson, it wasn’t Joe Biden.
The Latest
The signatures in question are on pardons of dangerous criminals, one of whom went to prison for second-degree murder.
“Who is behind this autopen on 12/30/2022 that pardoned six criminals (with the exact same autopen signature) while Joe Biden was vacationing and golfing in the U.S. Virgin Islands?” the Oversight Project wrote on X:
Note they all say they are “Signed [at] the City of Washington“
Our autopen investigation continues…
The project included clips from a Daily Mail story about Biden’s golf trip — some 1,100 miles south of Florida on St. Croix in the Caribbean Sea. That story detailed Biden’s stay at the opulent home of bazillionaire pals.
“Biden was captured on the course of the Buccaneer Hotel wearing a bright blue baseball hat, a white polo shirt and navy shorts,” the website reported with myriad photos:
The golf outing marks his 20th round since becoming president.
The president, first lady, daughter Ashley Biden, her husband Howard Krein and grandkids Hunter and Natalie arrived on St. Croix Tuesday and will stay through the new year.
The Bidens are staying at the St Croix home of billionaire Democratic donors Bill and Connie Neville, according to the White House.
Yet while Sleepy Joe was putting away in the sun on the lush fairways of the Buccaneer, someone was pardoning criminals back home. And in Biden’s name, no less.
Biden’s John Hancock might truly have been done at the city of Washington on the 30 day of December in the Year of Our Lord Two thousand and Twenty-two and of the Independence of the United States the Two hundred and Forty-seventh.
But Biden himself wasn’t the signatory. The Autopen-in-Chief was. Biden, again, was in the Virgin Islands, as the December 30 date on the story at Daily Mail shows.
As The New American reported last week, the project found that every document it collected with Biden’s signature — except one — was autopenned. The document that did bear his signature was his withdrawal from the presidential race against then former President Donald Trump.
Johnson’s Story
The Biden Autopen Scandal must be probed, as Bailey wrote, because GOP House Speaker Mike Johnson’s testimony about his meeting with Biden shows that the president wasn’t in charge at the White House.
In early January, Johnson told Bari Weiss of The Free Press about meeting Biden at the White House in 2024.
White House aides stymied Johnson’s access to Biden until Johnson began whispering to the far-left media. That prompted the aides to relent. They set up a meeting attended by Biden and his top officials.
“I show up and I realize it’s actually an ambush, because it’s not just me and the president,” Johnson told Weiss:
It’s also Kamala Harris, Chuck Schumer, Hakeem [Jeffries] … the CIA director, everybody.… So I walked into the Oval [Office] and, ah, I know what this is, … they’re going to hot-box the speaker on Ukraine funding.
But Biden turned the tables on the praetorian guard and told them to leave so he and Johnson could chat alone.
Uh-oh, the aids thought.
“I Didn’t Do That”
Before discussing national security, the reason Johnson wanted to meet, the speaker asked why Biden had paused liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports.
“I didn’t do that,” a “stunned” Biden said.
Johnson patiently and courteously explained that Biden had indeed paused exports. Biden insisted that he signed an order to study the matter.
Said Johnson:
I said, no you’re not, sir. You paused it. I know. I have the terminal, the export terminal, in my state. I talked to those people this morning. This is doing massive damage to our economy, national security.
Null and Void
That story is part of Bailey’s complaint to the DOJ, which says that “staffers and officers” used “Biden’s incapacity” to push the administration into the outer limits of woke, leftist ideology.
“If in fact Biden’s staffers were exploiting his mental decline, those orders are null and void,” Bailey wrote.
Bailey observed that Special Counsel Robert Hur, who probed Biden’s mishandling of classified documents, concluded that he, Hur, could not prosecute him because a jury would think he was “‘elderly man with a poor memory’ who could not even remember when he was Vice President or, even within several years, when his son passed away.”
Bailey also cited former top Democrat Lindy Li. Li has said that wife Dr. Jill and drug-addict son Hunter ran the administration.
Noting the “the streak of extraordinarily far-left orders purportedly issued by Biden,” Bailey averred that “it is black-letter law that a document is void, ab initio, when the person signing it lacks mental capacity.”
But that’s not all.
“That is why the 25th Amendment authorizes power to pass to the Vice President when the President lacks mental capacity, Bailey continued:
Staffers and the Vice President cannot constitutionally evade accountability by laundering far-left orders through a man who does not know what he is signing. If in fact this has been occurring then all those orders are void.
But that, apparently, isn’t all that happened. Biden not only didn’t know what he was signing when he signed it, but also didn’t sign myriad orders because he wasn’t in the White House.
