It looks like “burying the hatchet” isn’t in the liberal playbook.
The Left in America has for months been preparing for the possibility of a Trump reelection win with threats of violence. But they’re apparently poised to be just as vengeful and vindictive if they win.
Voices on the Left, including Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), are calling for lists to be kept of Trump supporters so that they can be ostracized and otherwise punished when the election is over.
“Is anyone archiving these Trump sycophants for when they try to downplay or deny their complicity in the future?” Ocasio-Cortez asked on Twitter. “I foresee decent probability of many deleted Tweets, writings, photos in the future.”
Then there’s Jennifer Rubin, the neocon columnist who went full liberal and joined the Washington Post after Donald Trump entered American politics. According to Rubin, those who support the president should never be allowed to hold public office, serve on corporate boards, or participate in other avenues of society.
Former Obama staffer Michael Simon, in a since-deleted tweet added that he wants retribution against everyone who ever worked for the Trump administration.
Actress Janelle Monae, who starred in Hidden Figures, a story celebrating the crucial role black female mathematicians played in NASA’s space program, tweeted (in a since-deleted post) “f**k every American citizen” who voted for President Trump, saying they should all “burn.” To see the tweet, click here (warning: includes obscene gesture).
The Left has repeatedly warned that they will resort to violence both if they do and do not get their way politically.
Back in January, for example, well before the Black Lives Matter riots began, a Bernie Sanders field organizer said that cities will burn if Sanders lost the Democratic nomination (Bernie eventually lost and cities eventually did burn).
Furthermore, the field organizer asserted that there would be “gulags” for dissidents, which he said would be used to indoctrinate them into believing in communism:
“There’s a reason Josef Stalin had gulags, right? And actually gulags are a lot better than what the CIA has told us. Like people were actually paid a living wage in gulags, they had conjugal visits in gulags, gulags were actually meant for like re-education.”
In the leadup to November 3, left-wing groups have publicly stated that they planned to create unrest (read:violence) to pressure the removal of President Trump from office in the case of a contested election.
The Transition Integrity Project (TIP), an organization with ties to George Soros’ Open Society Foundations and to the Chinese Communist Party-linked think tank The Berggruen Institute, has outlined several tactics the Left and Deep State plan to use to secure a Biden victory in the 2020 presidential election, including mail-in voting, suppression of speech via social-media censorship, and “street fights.”
The founder of the Transition Integrity Project, Nils Gilman, even called for the execution of former Trump national security official Michael Anton due to Anton’s coverage of and critical opinion of TIP.
“Michael Anton is the Robert Brasillach of our times and deserves the same fate,” Gilman wrote. Brasillach was a French author and journalist executed in 1944 for advocating Nazi collaborationism and anti-Semitism during World War II. At the time, his death was considered controversial because he was executed, rather than given life imprisonment, for intellectual crimes as opposed to military ones.
There’s also Shut Down DC, an activist group preparing to launch mass gatherings in the nation’s capital beginning the night of the election in an attempt to stop what it claims will be an “attempted coup” by President Trump and a refusal from him to accept the results of the election.
“We recognize that many of the challenges that we are facing did not start when Trump was elected president and they will not end when he is forced from office,” the group states.
In a document first reported by The Federalist, the group refers to its initiative as an “uprising” and calls for potentially blockading the White House, blocking traffic, shutting down government office buildings, and even cutting off Amazon fulfillment centers.
America is at a dangerous crossroads. With the Democrat party and the Deep State doing all they can to enable voter fraud in order to steal the election, the possibility of a Biden presidency is real. And the very fact of what they, by their own admission, are going to do with power once they have it is precisely why they must not be allowed to get it.
