Anti-Tea Party Site Telegraphs Attack Plans
Article audio sponsored by The John Birch Society

A website called Crash the Tea Party.org is up and running. The site’s admitted purpose is to organize infiltration and attacks on the Tea Party movement at the patriotic group’s meetings and rallies so as to dismantle and demolish it.

After its "About Us" title, the site itself declares:

WHO WE ARE: A nationwide network of Democrats, Republicans, and Independents who are all sick and tired of that loose affiliation of racists, homophobes, and morons; who constitute the fake grass-roots movement which calls itself “The Tea Party.”

WHAT WE WANT: To dismantle and demolish the Tea Party by any means necessary.

HOW WE WILL SUCCEED: By infiltrating the Tea Party itself! In an effort to propagate their pre-existing propensity for paranoia and suspicion … We have already sat quietly in their meetings and observed their rallies.

Whenever possible we will act on behalf of the Tea Party in ways which exaggerate their least appealing qualities (misspelled protest signs, wild claims in TV interviews, etc.) to further distance them from mainstream America and damage the public’s opinion of them. We will also use the inside information that we have gained in order to disrupt and derail their plans.

Sound like fun? It is!! If you’d like to join us, just click on the word “crash” below …

Yes — there seemed an outside chance that this actually was some Tea Party member’s inspired idea to thwart the destructive efforts of its enemies. By beating them to the punch, he or she might be throwing back the covers and exposing the blue print — actual or just dreamed up — of potential party crashers’ plans and schemes. But actually, the Crash the Tea Party site so far sounds a little too “Saul Alinsky-esque.” Indeed, it’s techniques are reminiscent of the attacks on the patriotic America First Committee of the 1940s, which eventually grew to include about 800,000 members and chapters all over the country. Co-founded by conservative journalist John T. Flynn, the work of the non-interventionist AFC was often harassed by the Left via the media, motion pictures, and corrupt unions. According to The New American Article  “Principles First,” the story goes that at the time of Franklin Roosevelt’s third run for the presidency:

Flynn’s research efforts also uncovered plots to infiltrate the New York City AFC for the purpose of disrupting its proceedings and discrediting the organization with outrageous outbursts. When an unknown individual shouted “Hang Roosevelt” at an AFC Madison Square Garden rally, there was little doubt that the intent was to invite condemnation of the entire movement.

Fast forward to 2010, the Tea Party Movement, and the crashers’ web site. There is a section called the Mad Hatter “blog,” where some of the pre-arrangements for organizing more damaging mayhem are let out of the bag. The “Hatter” proclaims:

Well, we are certainly in the spotlight! Some of my cohorts don’t agree with me that this is for the best but what’s done is done.

After all the right wing zealots bombed the board, I was contacted directly by so many of you who wanted to join our little group that at first we weren’t sure what to do!

But We have since devised this system:

Agents will be able to report in the VIP room (password protected) and coded messages will be sent out via this blog.

White Rabbit, Queen of Hearts, and March Hare will also contact many of you directly via email or facebook.

Good Luck and Good Crashing!

Jason Levin is the culprit who claims to have created www.crashtheteaparty.org. He said on April 11 that the group has 65 leaders in major cities across the country who are trying to recruit members to infiltrate Tea Party events. And his attitude in general towards the Tea Partiers, as quoted by the Associated Press, is:  “Do I think every member of the Tea Party is a homophobe, racist, or a moron? No, absolutely not. Do I think most of them are homophobes, racists or morons? Absolutely.”

So — is he an undercover Tea Party member?  Not likely at all — especially not since he apparently was outed as non-simpatico by the Free Republic among others.

Still we say, “Thank you, Crash the Tea Party!”  Your site has actually been a protection for the planned patriotic events of the 15th and of the future. This Thursday, April 15, there will be many protests of our liberal U.S. government in honor of Tax Day.

And if, at these gatherings, some zany, crazy act is committed by an “apparent Tea Partier” that revs up the liberal media into an anti-Tea feeding frenzy — Crashers, we’ll suspect it’s you!
