A group of 17 Republican members of the House of Representatives on Tuesday penned a letter to Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) calling on her to “immediately remove” Representative Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) from the chamber’s Intelligence Committee.

The demand was a response to recent reports on the congressman’s ties to a Chinese spy who posed as a college student, networked with rising American politicians, and allegedly slept with two mayors in the midwest.

“Because of Rep. Swalwell’s position on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, his close interactions with Chinese intelligence services, however unintentional they may be, are an unacceptable national security risk,” the letter reads.

Noting that the committee “handles some of the most sensitive information our government possesses — information critical to our national defense,” the letter continued, “we urge you to immediately remove Rep. Swalwell from his position on the House Intelligence Committee.”

Signatories of the letter included Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) and Representatives Jim Banks (R-Ind.), Chip Roy (R-Texas), Liz Cheney (R-Wy.), and Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.).

The lawmakers pointed out the fact that Pelosi called former Attorney General Jeff Sessions “not fit to serve” in 2017 following reports that he failed to inform Congress about two meetings he had with a Russian ambassador. At the time, Pelosi called on Sessions to resign.

“Rep. Swalwell withheld information for five years from the House Intelligence Committee about an ongoing Chinese espionage operation targeted at him and his own colleagues,” the letter reads. “Obviously, Rep. Swalwell’s interactions with a Chinese spy were more dangerous and unusual than AG Sessions’ meetings with a Russian diplomat.”

The Republican lawmakers argued that Swalwell used his position on the intelligence committee to level attacks on “President Donald Trump’s unproven ties to Russia” while refusing to give account of his own ties to the Chinese spy report.

Axios reported last week on Fang Fang, also known as Christine Fang, who pretended to be an exchange student in order to build relationships with up-and-coming politicians to be leveraged by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). She met Swalwell, one of her top targets, when he was still a city councilman in the East Bay city of Dublin almost a decade ago.

Reportedly, Fang used student extracurricular activities at California State University, East Bay, to network with and befriend local elected officials. Eventually, she branched out across the country, having affairs with two mayors.

Thus far, Swalwell is not officially charged with wrongdoing. He reportedly cut off his relationship with Fang after the FBI gave him a briefing about her suspect activities in 2015. At this time, Fang is not suspected of having accessed any classified information. Pelosi also said that leaders of both parties were briefed on the matter in spring of 2015.

Nevertheless, Swalwell’s father and brother, along with other local politicians, stayed Facebook friends with Fang until the reporting on her surfaced last week.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) did not sign the letter, although he did call on Swalwell to resign from the intelligence committee. Pelosi fired back at him, saying “l do think that it’s unfortunate that Mr. McCarthy is trying to make an issue of this when we all found out at the same time.”

It’s not at all surprising that Swalwell would possibly be in bed with the Chinese communists. This is the man who said he would jail Americans who refuse to comply with his desired gun-control and gun-confiscation measures. He also suggested that the government could use nukes against the populace if they don’t hand over their guns.

China is successfully infiltrating and subverting many American institutions, from government to business to academia and entertainment. A bombshell report last week showed to what degree that is true:

A major leak containing a register with the details of nearly two million CCP members has occurred — exposing members who are now working all over the world, while also lifting the lid on how the party operates under Xi Jinping, says Sharri Markson.…

Ms Markson said the leak demonstrates party branches are embedded in some of the world’s biggest companies and even inside government agencies.

“Communist party branches have been set up inside western companies, allowing the infiltration of those companies by CCP members — who, if called on, are answerable directly to the communist party, to the Chairman, the president himself,” she said.

“Along with the personal identifying details of 1.95 million communist party members, mostly from Shanghai, there are also the details of 79,000 communist party branches, many of them inside companies”.

China is one of the most important proxy states for the global elites, and they are using the nation’s immense resources (which they themselves, through their agents in American government, built up) to erode the free institutions of the United States.

We must take our country back before our Republic becomes little more than a satellite of Xi Jinping’s empire.
