One Third of Anti-Trump D.C. Federal District Judges Are Immigrants

In yet another important story the far-left mainstream media ignored, The Federalist has revealed that 33 percent of the judges on the federal district court in Washington, D.C., are immigrants.

Of the 15 judges, five were born abroad, and all are appointees of either former Presidents Joe Biden or Barack Obama.

And all just happened to have had lawsuits against President Donald Trump dumped in their laps.

Yet foreign-born judges aren’t the only members of the far-left, anti-Trump elite. So also are congressmen and journalists, all of whom are part of the Get-Trump Combine that seems so hostile to the America that Trump remembered in his inaugural speech on January 20.

Foreigners Galore Deciding Cases

The Federalist’s report suggests that the fix is in to stop Trump from carrying out the mandate of voters in the November 5 election. Regardless of what they want, immigrant judges are there to stop him.

Example: Judge Tanya Sue Chutkan, a native of Kingston, Jamaica, appointed by Obama in 2014.

“Before sitting on federal court, she had no experience as a judge,” The Federalist reported:

Chutkan is overseeing the legal challenge to [The Department of Government Efficiency’s] work to slash excess government spending.

Then there’s India-born Amit P Mehta, also with “no previous experience as a judge.”

Mehta “will oversee four January 6 civil cases that aim to blame Trump for injuries and squeeze money, court time, and political embarrassment out of him,” The Federalist reported.

Biden appointed three of the foreigners.

Immigrant Judge Ana Cecilia Reyes, nominated in 2021, is another no-experience rookie. The Uruguayan’s main qualification seems to be that she is a lesbian. And as luck would have it, “Reyes presided over an objection to Trump’s executive order declaring ‘gender dysphoria’ as ‘inconsistent’ with the ‘high standards for troop readiness,’ as The Federalist’s Shawn Fleetwood reported. Reyes blocked Trump’s order with a preliminary injunction.”

Perhaps Biden’s most devious and dangerous appointment was that of Muslim radical Amir Hatem Mahdy Ali , an Egyptian raised in Canada:

According to his Questionnaire for Judicial Nominees, Ali was not required to register for the U.S. Selective Service. That is because he was not a citizen until 2019.… He worked as a volunteer on Biden’s 2020 transition team and for a phone bank in support of Biden’s presidential campaign. He worked for some nonprofits but never served as a judge until Biden appointed him in 2024. Amir has written extensively and negatively about Trump’s so-called “Travel ban,” a 2017 Executive Order which restricted travel to the U.S. from seven predominantly Muslim countries for 90 days.

In his writing, he said, “prejudice and intolerance” were “the very hallmark of [Trump’s] campaign against Muslims.”…

When confirmed, Amir was a member of the Capital Area Muslim Bar Association; Muslim American Judicial Advisory Council; National Arab American Bar Association; National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers; National Police Accountability Project; and the Native American Bar Association of D.C., among others.

Ali single handedly restored $2 billion in USAID spending to foreign nonprofit contractors that the Trump Administration had paused for 90 days, in a stunning overreach of authority last month.

Upshot: Not one of these immigrants had any experience as a judge, but the U.S. Senate somehow thought them worthy of a post on one of the most important federal courts in the nation.

The reason: Their far-left judicial ideology.

Congress and the Far-Left Media

Immigrants are part of the hate-Trump movement on Capitol Hill as well.

Radical Trump opponent Mazie Hirono of Hawaii was born in Japan. The hate-Trump contingent in Congress includes India-born Pramilla Jayapal of Washington state; far-left radical Ted Lieu of California, born in Taiwan; and, famously, Somali refugee Ilhan Omar of Minnesota. Omar not only married her brother to commit immigration and student-loan fraud but also is widely believed, because of her public comments, to be a Somali agent of influence. Omar thinks that Trump’s invoking the Alien Enemies Act to deport illegal-alien terrorists and criminals is “un-American.”

Last but not least, voters imprudently elected Eugene Vindman of Virginia — real name Yevgeny — born in Ukraine. He was tangentially involved with twin brother Alexander’s inciting the first impeachment against President Trump.

Only a few immigrants in Congress are Republicans.

As “journalists” go, a look at CNN alone suggests that immigrants help control what Americans see and read. Many immigrant journalists hail from countries with no tradition of free speech, or those where free speech is under attack. That raises questions about their political agenda, and, again, as immigrants, whether they can fairly cover Trump, who wants to curtail illegal immigration.

The CNN roster includes:

Upshot: Arrayed against Trump is political class of immigrant elites, whether judges, congressmen, or journalists.

They have three things in common: no lifetime of living under the federal Constitution or a republican form of government, no memory of America as it was a half-century ago, and no ancestral attachment to the nation’s storied past — again, as Trump described it in his inaugural speech weeks ago.
