President Trump has a warning for Zohran Mamdani, the Muslim socialist who prevailed in last week’s Democratic mayoral primary in New York City and might well become the city’s next sultan.
If he attempts to block the arrest of illegal aliens by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), he will land in jail.
Trump delivered the warning at a news conference in Florida, where he and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem visited Alligator Alcatraz, a new illegal-alien detainment facility.
Also at the news conference, Noem revealed just what kind of illegals ICE is arresting and deporting: cannibals who eat themselves.
Mamdani: I Will Defy ICE
The crackpot mayoral candidate is at least refreshingly honest. Believing New York City is not obliged to follow federal immigration law, his campaign website promises to “Trump Proof” the city.
The Big Apple, he vows, will be “the strongest sanctuary city in the country. And, his website says, Mamdani will “get ICE out of all City facilities and end any cooperation” with them, and “will increase funding for immigration legal services to provide representation for people and communities targeted by mass deportation.”
After he won the primary, he repeated that promise in his post-victory speech.
He opened the terse oration with a quote from the late South African communist terrorist, Nelson Mandela: “We made history,” he said:
In the words of Nelson Mandela, “it always seems impossible until it is done.” My friends, we have done it.
The Uganda-born Indian immigrant — a naturalized citizen for less than a decade — quickly segued into his threat to break federal criminal statutes.
New York City, he said, will be a place “where public safety keeps us truly safe and it’s where the mayor will use their power to reject Donald Trump’s fascism to stop mass ICE agents from deporting our neighbors and to govern our city as a model for the Democratic Party.”
Frighteningly, his plans — which include freezing rent, “free” child care, “free” public transportation, and a minimum wage of $30 per hour, higher taxes for “whiter neighborhoods,” and purchasing private property to create city-owned communes — sound more like a model for the Communist Party.
Voters in New York are apparently unconcerned.
Trump’s Promise
Anyway, the locale of Trump’s warning was Alligator Alcatraz, a 3,000-bed facility surrounded by the man-eating reptiles.
Noting that Trump’s “beloved New York City may well be led by a communist soon,” someone asked what POTUS 47 had to say to “communist Zohran Mamdani” about his promise to “defy” ICE.
“Well then, we’ll have to arrest him,” Trump replied. “Look, we don’t need a communist in this country, but if we have one, I’m going to be watching over him very carefully on behalf of the nation.”
Trump’s remarks are, in some sense, nothing new. Border Czar Tom Homan has repeatedly said that state and local officials who interfere with ICE will be arrested for harboring illegals.
“They need to educate themselves,” he told Fox News:
They need to review this. Title 8, United States Code 1324 III. Read about that and don’t cross that line because it is a felony to harbor and conceal an illegal alien from ICE. Read the statute. Don’t cross that line.
The statute to which Homan referred is clear. It applies to “any person” who “knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that an alien has come to, entered, or remains in the United States in violation of law, conceals, harbors, or shields from detection, or attempts to conceal, harbor, or shield from detection, such alien in any place, including any building or any means of transportation.”
Mamdani is one of several public officials who believe that they are exempt from that law. Among them are Boston Mayor Michelle Wu, along with Denver Mayor Mike Johnston, who vowed rebellion and insurrection to stop ICE. Officials in Seattle and Los Angeles have said the same thing. They might also face federal obstruction charges.
Cannibal Illegal
Speaking at the same presser, Noem unloaded on leftists and the far-left Mainstream Media. Violence against ICE officers has jumped 500 percent because Trump is “upholding the law” and “liberals, socialists, and Marxists are … lying about what President Trump is doing,” Noem said. And hate-Trump CNN lies “every single day about what these operations are.”
“We are going after murderers and rapists and traffickers and drug dealers and getting them off the streets, and getting them out of this country, because Joe Biden let the worst of the worst come in here,” she said:
The other day, I was talking to some marshals that have been partnering with ICE. They said that they had detained a cannibal and put him on a plane to take him home. And while they had him in his seat, he started to eat himself. And they had to get him off and get him medical attention. These are the kind of deranged individuals that are on our streets in America that we’re trying to target and get out of our country because they are so deranged, they don’t belong here. And shouldn’t be walking the streets with their children.
The illegal-alien likely chowed down with his teeth given that marshals certainly didn’t provide utensils.
