Noem to Illegal Aliens and Would-be Illegals: Get Out, Stay Out, and Don’t Cross the Border

Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem has a warning for illegal aliens, and those who are considering jumping the Southwest border: Leave the country or face deportation, and “don’t even think about” illegal entry.

The messages came in two advertisements posted at her department’s website and on YouTube. A domestic version addresses illegals already in the country. An international version warns anyone outside the United States to forget entering illegally.

The warnings are a stark contrast to the message the Biden administration sent by creating an unlawful “parole” program for illegals caught at the border, or even flying them directly into the country.

President Donald Trump ended that insanity on Day 1 of his second administration. Noem’s warnings also continue the complete reversal of the previous administration’s dangerous policies, a reversal a career bureaucrat warned would be stopped.

The Ads

In the first ad, Noem thanks Trump for “deporting criminal, illegal immigrants and for putting America first,” then says POTUS 47 “has a clear message for those that are in our country illegally”:

Leave now. If you don’t, we will find you and we will deport you. You will never return.

Attacking the Biden administration and the “weak politicians” who opened the borders, Noem said they “flooded our communities with drugs, human trafficking, and violent criminals.”

But “those days are over,” she said:

If you leave now, you may have an opportunity to return and enjoy our freedom and live the American dream. But understand this. Under President Trump, America’s borders are closed to lawbreakers.

Follow the law and you’ll find opportunity. Break it and you’ll find consequences. The choice is yours.

The second ad has much the same message for anyone contemplating illegal entry, again with a message from Trump “to the world.”

“If you are considering entering America illegally,” Noem warned, “don’t even think about it”:

Let me be clear: If you come to our country and you break our laws, we will hunt you down.

Criminals are not welcome in the United States.…

If you try to enter illegally, you will be caught. You will be removed, and you will never return.

The ad ends with the same message as the first: “Follow the law and you’ll find opportunity. If you break it, you’ll find consequences.”

Ended TPS

The bracing policy change continues what Noem began when she opened her tenure with a major rebuke to her predecessor, unindicted visa fraudster Alejandro Mayorkas.

The far-left Cuban immigrant granted Temporary Protected Status (TPS) in 2021, then repeatedly extended it, for more than half a million Venezuelans who entered the nation illegally. Some of them were undoubtedly members of the Tren de Aragua murder gang. Mayorkas claimed returning home was too dangerous for them and so granted TPS to some 600,000. Some were flown directly into the United States.

Noem terminated TPS for 348,202 illegal Venezuelans, who must leave the United States voluntarily or be deported.

“After reviewing country conditions and considering whether permitting Venezuelan nationals covered by the 2023 designation is contrary to the national interest of the United States, in consultation with the appropriate U.S. Government agencies, the Secretary of Homeland Security has determined that Venezuela no longer continues to meet the conditions for the 2023 Designation,” Noem’s order says:

In particular, the Secretary has determined it is contrary to the national interest to permit the covered Venezuelan nationals to remain temporarily in the United States.

The order says conditions have improved in Venezuela and so the nation’s citizens can safely return home.

Even if conditions hadn’t improved, Noem still could have revoked TPS because the designation “is contrary to the national interest.”

Indeed, according to the order:

Congress expressly prohibits the Secretary from designating a country for TPS or extending a TPS designation if she finds that “permitting the aliens to remain temporarily in the United States is contrary to the national interest of the United States.”

“I Hate Her”

Just after Noem’s confirmation, a DHS bureaucrat told an undercover reporter from O’Keefe Media Group (OMG) that he hated Noem. And DHS bureaucrats, he said, would sabotage her policies.

“I f***ing hate her,” Brandon Wright told the reporter. His “favorite thing” about visa fraudster Mayorkas was that “he gave us a sh** ton of bonus vacation. No f***ing way Kristi Noem will do that for us. No way.”

He also said Noem “doesn’t know s**t,” and in any event, she won’t run the department. Instead, bureaucrats like Wright will run the show. He told the reporter:

So, the [Cabinet] secretaries can set the priorities for the department but they can’t actually tell us what to do. The people who are actually in charge are the permanent civil servants. We don’t let them get in our way, OK.”

Wright told the reporter that DHS bureaucrats will undermine Noem by feigning agreement with her ideas, then sabotaging them with bureaucratic inertia.

“If we … don’t agree with [Noem’s] priorities, there’s a lot of room for interpretation in terms of how we interpret what those priorities are,” he said, comparing the bureaucracy to a septic tank:

It starts off with like a bunch of layers of, like, rocks. And there’s like different layers of rocks. So it like catches all the s**t and like filters into rocks and then sand and everything. There’s a lot of layers like that in government, and by the time the actual marching orders get to like me and below, we can filter it in a way that steadies the ship.

At the time OMG posted the Wright video to social media, DHS said his “termination was imminent.”

But, again, DHS also terminated myriad unlawful immigration policies initiated by Mayorkas on President Joe Biden’s orders that led to his impeachment.

Those policies led to myriad murders by illegals, including that of nursing student Laken Riley by Venezuelan thug Jose Ibarra. They also led to TdA’s establishing bases in several major U.S. cities.
