A far-left, pro-illegal alien rioter apparently attempted to murder Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents during yesterday’s raids on marijuana farms in California.

Arrested in the raids were 200 illegals; illegal-alien kids were rescued. About 500 rioters impeded the operation at one farm.

Leftists lied about the raid on X, claiming that ICE arrested illegal-alien produce pickers.

Meanwhile, the mayor of Perris, California, Michael Vargas, warned residents of his unfortunate city to stay inside to avoid ICE agents.

500 Rioters

ICE raids targeted pot farms in Carpinteria and Camarillo. While growing Giggle Weed in California is legal, employing illegal aliens is not. Thus, the visit by ICE.

“At least 10 migrant children were rescued from potential exploitation, forced labor, and human trafficking,” the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) reported. “Federal officers also arrested approximately 200 illegal aliens from both sites.”

Inexplicably, some 500 rioters attempted to stop ICE, apparently at the facility in Camarillo.

“More than 500 rioters attempted to disrupt operations,” DHS continued. Four U.S. citizens were arrested for assaulting and resisting officers. The rioters vandalized a vehicle, and one of the goons “fired a gun at law enforcement officers.” The FBI will pay $50,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest of the would-be killer.

Lies About the Raid

As expected, The New York Times and far-left Democrats are lying about the raid. The Times’ headline lies by omission. “Federal Agents Clash With Protesters During Immigration Raid at California Farm” leads readers to believe ICE raided a produce farm.

Far-left U.S. Representative Jimmy Gomez of Los Angeles claimed on X that President Trump was arresting poor strawberry pickers just trying to earn their daily crust.

“How many MS-13 gang members are waking up at 3 a.m. to pick strawberries?” he wrote:

O’yeah, zero!

Trump said he’d go after “bad hombres,” but he’s targeting the immigrant farm workers who feed America. Either he lied — or he can’t tell the difference.

Gomez’s post appeared over an equally false claim:

ICE just swarmed Ventura County fields, hauling away the very farm workers who keep America’s produce aisles stocked.

We’re arresting assets; treating the backbone of our food chain like a threat. That’s not “border security.” That’s self-sabotage in uniform.

“Democrats are having a fit because we’re enforcing our laws against people working at a weed farm,” Vice President J.D. Vance replied.

The White House Rapid Response X feed brutally ridiculed the man it called Cryin’ Jimmy:

ICE: Raids marijuana farms filled with illegal aliens

Cryin’ Jimmy: “ThEy’Re JuSt StRaWbErRy PiCkErS 😭”

That ain’t produce, holmes. THAT’S PRODUCT. 🌿

White House Communications Director Steven Cheung suggested that Gomez might have partaken of the Devil’s Lettuce:

“Jimmy Gomez must be getting high off that Strawberry Kush because this is a weed farm found to have exploited juveniles here illegally,” he wrote on X.

For its part, Glass House Brands, the pot company that runs the farms, claimed it “has never knowingly violated applicable hiring practices and does not and has never employed minors.”

Right. That claim raises the obvious question of why, then, it is providing legal representation to the illegals whom ICE arrested.

Far-left Mayor Sides With Illegals

While leftists thought it wise to lie about the raid on the wacky tobacky fields, Vargas, the mayor of Perris, about halfway between San Diego and Los Angeles, brazenly interfered with ICE operations.

“The city of Perris has received reports of ongoing ICE operations within the area,” he said:

We urge all residents to remain calm, stay indoors when possible, and know your rights. Do not go out unless necessary. Stay at home and do not open the door to strangers. This message is for awareness and safety. The city is committed to protecting the dignity and well-being of all our residents. Please stay safe and continue to monitor official city communications.

Why “all residents” need to stay indoors is a mystery … unless “all residents” are illegals. That said, tipping off illegals to an ICE raid could get Vargas and other city officials in trouble.

As border czar Tom Homan has warned, state and local officials who interfere with ICE operations could face charges of harboring illegals.

When Boston, Massachusetts, Mayor Michelle Wu and other mayors said their cities would not cooperate with ICE, and indeed would attempt to impede its efforts, Homan delivered a message. They had better bone up on federal law, notably, 8 U.S. Code 1324, bringing in and harboring illegals.

“They need to educate themselves,” he told Fox News two weeks after Trump was elected:

They need to review this. Title 8, United States Code 1324 III. Read about that and don’t cross that line because it is a felony to harbor and conceal an illegal alien from ICE. Read the statute. Don’t cross that line.

How long the Department of Justice will refrain from arresting and charging state and local officials who either hamper or refuse to cooperate with ICE is unclear. DOJ has, however, filed multiple lawsuits to overturn state and local sanctuary laws.
