A Border Patrol agent has confessed that the Biden administration has lost control of the southwest border, that it is not secure, and that murderous drug cartels are now in charge.
The anonymous whistleblower disguised his voice for an interview with NewsNation’s border correspondent Ali Bradley because he fears retaliation from the vindictive leftists who run Biden’s immigration agencies.
The agent’s grim message isn’t news for anyone who’s followed the Biden-sponsored invasion of “migrants” — leftist code for illegal aliens. Border agents have encountered almost 8 million illegals at the southwest border, and they are increasingly turning up at the frontier with Canada.
Cartels Are the Boss
“We do not control the border, the agent told Bradley for Dan Abrams Live. “The cartels control the border. Everything that we do is a reaction to things that they have planned. Usually, we’re chasing around pawns while the kings and queens are doing whatever they want.”
And, he said, he fears being fired for telling the truth about what President Joe Biden and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas have done not only to immigration policy with blatantly illegal mandates but also American national security.
Undoubtedly, he recalls that Biden and Mayorkas said they would punish the agents who supposedly whipped Haitians illegals, an open-borders narrative proven false.
“I’m terrified to talk to the media because I’m scared of what, you know, the government would do, which obviously would be to lose my job, right?” the agent said. “They don’t want you speaking on their behalf without their permission.”
Asked whether the illegals are here to do Americans harm, the agent answered, “absolutely.”
The agent elaborated on the impossible job he and his colleagues must do:
These huge give-up groups that we’re getting — you know, the media is only reporting what they can report on….
Which is statistically speaking a small percentage of the actual bad guys that we’re catching. Who is getting through? The really good ones we will never catch….
You can’t pay attention to the matches that are walking through the border when all you can see is the little bonfire.
Without saying so, the agent suggested that Mayorkas lies when he claims that the “border is secure,” one of his frequent refrains.
“Our border is by no means secure,” the agent said, “and even if it was, we don’t have the manpower to handle the situation that’s happening right now.”
Speaking of local law enforcement, the agent warned that Americans had better learn to defend themselves:
No one is coming to protect you. Even at the local law enforcement level we’re seeing them being defunded and overwhelmed.… Your life has to be threatened for them to make you a priority. So no one is coming, and you better self help, self protect.
But beyond that, Biden’s invitation to the “migrants” across the globe to come to the United States has overwhelmed border authorities. They simply can’t handle the invasion at the southwest border.
The agent said that “there’s no way” to vet the amount of migrants coming into the country:
It’s not doable. We don’t have the manpower, the technology, and we don’t have the time. This is not manageable, and there has to be a better way. And right now with this administration, there are no repercussions. There’s no policies that are keeping people from coming across. So, they kind of get to do whatever they want and we’re at their mercy.
Southwest border agents have encountered more than 7.6 million illegals since February 2021, the first full month of Biden’s malign presidency.
Border Numbers
Apropos of the agent’s remarks about the safety of Americans vis-à-vis the invasion, weeks ago, 10 FBI former officials warned that Biden and Mayorkas have created a major national-security problem because so many of the “migrants” are single men.
“Young men from around the world traveling alone and holding questionable motivations dramatically increased in number to become the most common profile of those breaching the nation’s border,” they wrote:
A startling number had been found on the terror watch list or are from countries designated as state sponsors of terror or distinctly unfriendly to the United States.…
These men are potential operators in what appears to be an accelerated and strategic penetration, a soft invasion, designed to gain internal access to a country that cannot be invaded militarily in order to inflict catastrophic damage if and when enemies deem it necessary.
Among the potentially dangerous “migrants” turning up at the nation’s borders are almost 42,000 Chinese. Some 36,000 are single adults, about 86 percent.
The Whip Hoax
The agent rightly worries about his job.
In 2021, when border agents tried to round up Haitian illegals who stormed the border, leftists such as Democrat strategist Sawyer Hackett spread the lie, along with misleading photos, that mounted agents either “whipped” the Haitians with whips or the reins of their horses.
Closer inspection quickly upended the leftist narrative, but that didn’t stop Mayorkas from going off half-cocked.
“We do not condone, we do not tolerate any mistreatment of any migrant,” wrote the unindicted Cuban visa fraudster. “The actions we’re taking are swift and strong, and we will take further action as the facts adduced in the investigation compel.”
Mayorkas even denounced the agents before Congress.
The agents “do not reflect who we are as a country nor do they reflect who the United States Custom and Border Protection is.”
The agents were cleared of a crime, but after the non-whipping, Mayorkas permitted 12,000 Haitian illegals to enter the country.
