On Monday, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced that his department is launching an investigation to determine if Covid-19 vaccine makers Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson conducted gain-of-function research in secret. The probe will also look into whether the pharmaceutical giants misled the public regarding the efficacy of those vaccines.
The Texas AG has sent Civil Investigative Demands to Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson. Paxton requests that the companies turn over all documents with relation to the subject matter of the investigation without redaction, along with any communications about the vaccines, including the dates when the manufacturers became aware of “adverse events, side effects, injuries and/or deaths.”
“The development of the Covid-19 vaccine, and the representations made by and knowledge of Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson, are of profound interest to the public’s health and welfare. This investigation aims to discover the truth,” Paxton said in a statement. “This pandemic was a deeply challenging time for Americans. If any company illegally took advantage of consumers during this period or compromised people’s safety to increase their profits, they will be held responsible. If public health policy was developed on the basis of flawed or misleading research, the public must know. The catastrophic effects of the pandemic and subsequent interventions forced on our country and citizens deserve intense scrutiny, and we are pursuing any hint of wrongdoing to the fullest.”
The investigation looks to peruse documentation that the public would not, otherwise, gain access to and fully investigate whether the pharmaceutical giants may have used illegal or secretive methods in developing the vaccines, which were found to have numerous side-effects including myocarditis and pericarditis.
The Texas investigation could potentially affect the pharmaceutical giants’ immunity from lawsuits that the federal government granted them while the pandemic was raging. Currently, the drug makers enjoy immunity from lawsuits under the Prep Act.
According to the Texas AG’s office: “Texas’s investigation will force these companies to turn over documents the public otherwise could not access. Attorney General Paxton is committed to discovering the full scope of decision-making behind pandemic interventions forced on the public, especially when a profit motive or political pressure may have compromised Americans’ health and safety.”
Paxton’s office intends to scrutinize the federal government’s involvement in the matter as well.
“Efforts by the federal government to coerce compliance with unjust and illegal pandemic interventions, even at the cost of citizens’ employment, means this investigation into the scientific and ethical basis on which public health decisions were made is of major significance,” a press release from Paxton’s office points out.
The announcement of the Texas investigation into Big Pharma’s behavior regarding the Covid-19 vaccines coincides with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ call for Florida’s Supreme Court to convene a Grand Jury to investigate “any and all wrongdoing” regarding the development and distribution of the Covid vaccines.
“In Florida, it is illegal to mislead and misrepresent, especially when you are talking about the efficacy of a drug,” DeSantis said.
The Republican presidential candidate warned that vaccine makers would need to cooperate with the Grand Jury, saying, “We’ll be able to get the data whether they want to give it or not.”
As of this writing, none of the three vaccine makers have commented publicly about either the potential Florida Grand Jury or the Texas AG probe.
Recall that prior to James O’Keefe’s ouster at Project Veritas in January, the watchdog group released a video of Pfizer executive Jordan Trishton Walker admitting to an undercover journalist that the company may have been mutating the SARS-CoV-2 virus and using “directed evolution” to get a jump on new strains of the virus.
So, for those looking for answers about how the Covid-19 vaccines were developed and manufactured, those answers may soon be coming. Once again, the states are leading the way in the search for those answers, while the Biden administration does nothing but parrot Big Pharma’s propaganda.
