Explaining why she recently left what she now calls the “malicious and dishonest” Democratic Party, Maye Musk, Elon Musk’s mother, confessed that she was “brainwashed.” She also stated that others are likewise deceived. In fact, it could be said that millions love what they think the Democratic Party is. Relatively few love what it is. Likewise, though, millions hate what they think the Republican Party is.
Far fewer hate what it is.
Enter Eric Weinstein, host of podcast The Portal and originator of the term “intellectual dark web.” Oh, to be clear, he doesn’t hate the Republicans or love the Democrats. In fact, on a Halloween episode of Piers Morgan Uncensored, Weinstein called the Democratic leadership “evil.” But he also appeared the quintessence of the confused “undecided voter” — even if he is the highest-IQ undecided voter alive.
(Actually, strike that. There are no dead undecided voters; they’re all decidedly Democrat.)
Confused Genius
It’s no exaggeration saying that Weinstein, brother of Professor Bret Weinstein, is a genius. He boasts a Ph.D. in mathematical physics, having written the dissertation, “Extension of Self-Dual Yang-Mills Equations Across the Eighth Dimension.” In it, informs Wikipedia, he “showed that the self-dual Yang–Mills equations were not peculiar to dimension four and admitted generalizations to higher dimensions.” (Doesn’t exactly sound like dinnertime conversation in the Kamala Harris household.) But with Piers Morgan, he showed that believing propaganda is not peculiar to the low-IQ dimension. And there are lessons in this for everyone.
Morgan opened presenting an October 29 tweet in which Weinstein wrote:
I am failing this election. I tried. But, I simply failed.
I cannot work within these concepts.
My world, my country, my America is not on the ballot.
Reality in the Political Dimension
In truth, laments such as Weinstein’s have bedeviled thinking men in every time and place. I like telling people that I’m an alien (who sometimes interacts with the humans). And this is metaphorically true. I also state that I can best epitomize myself by saying I’m like “Mayberry meets the Middle Ages.” And this is literally true. Even if you’re not from my planet, however, how many of you can vote for a candidate perfectly reflecting your sense of virtue? Only sheep, who fanboy-like will conform to a leader and make his will theirs, truly have their “ideal” candidate.
Everyone else must accept something German leader Otto von Bismarck put very well. Politics is “the art of the possible,” he noted — not the art of personal-desire fulfillment.
So a voter has two choices. He can, first, be a child and take his ball and go home. Or he can put on his big-boy pants, put aside the emotion, and make the best choice for his country.
So, no, “your America” probably isn’t on the ballot. But something much closer to it and something much farther away from it almost assuredly is.
The Power of Propaganda
Asked by Morgan about his perspective, Weinstein did say that the Democratic “leadership appears in my mind to be evil.” But he also, quite sincerely, drew a false equivalence. Both parties have rejected “a strategy … of courting common-sense people, somewhat in the middle,” he said. Instead, they’ve “decided to hang on to their extremes.”
This is a common sentiment, of course. Yet if it’s true, perhaps Weinstein and the others expressing it can answer a simple question. What is the Republican/conservative analogue to the following?
Democrats have accepted the thesis that boys can transition into girls at will and have facilitated the “transgender” agenda. (Democratic vice-presidential nominee Tim Walz did this in Minnesota.) Compounding this, these child-abuse enablers also claim you’re a bigot for opposing the madness.
This is status quo for today’s Democrats, too. These are people who insist on having their own pronouns and that drag queens should be reading stories to seven-year-olds. They say traditional sex roles are artificial but homosexuality is natural. They assert that having men who masquerade as female compete with women is fair. Why, they even claim to not be able to define “woman” — while also claiming to know precisely when Republicans are trampling a “woman’s” rights.
The tweet below puts images to some of the above. Note, too, that some of the individuals presented are Biden/Harris administration appointees.
Just Getting Started
Yet there’s more. As in Walz’s Minnesota, Democratic politicians have sometimes allowed for abortion up until birth. They’ve kept our southern border open, purposely flooding our country with illegal aliens and have even enabled terrorists’ entry. Where President Trump has disavowed neo-Nazis and white supremacists — such as after Charlottesville — The Democrats have nurtured anti-white bias. (For example, advancing “white privilege” propaganda and identity politics.) Why, Kamala Harris even once made a campaign ad touting “equity,” now a euphemism for officially-sanctioned, politically correct discrimination.
Now, where are the corresponding policies on the “other side” from high-profile conservatives? They don’t exist.
Violence
Weinstein also mentioned January 6. Yet it’s no exaggeration saying that 99 percent of political violence originates with the Left. Examples:
- The 600-plus Antifa-BLM riots in 2020, which caused billions in property damage and claimed dozens of lives.
- The May 2020 attack on the White House, which forced President Trump to be rushed into a protective bunker.
- The 2017 congressional baseball shooting, perpetrated by a Bernie Sanders supporter.
- The 2020 CHAZ (Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone) event, where left-wing insurrectionists took over part of Seattle for weeks. Leader Raz Simone was videoed giving a supporter an AR-15 from his car trunk.
Oh, and the violence often has Democratic-leadership sanction. In 2020, for instance, Representative Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) blithely dismissed violent mobs’ destruction of statues. “People will do what they do” is how she put it.
And as I illustrated in “Violence, Inc.: A Leftist Enterprise,” the above is just a short list.
So, again, Dr. Weinstein, where is the Republican/conservative analogue to any of the above? I’ll wait.
And what is the MAGA platform? It’s secure borders, family “values,” no sexualization of children, avoidance of foreign wars, respect for life, smaller government, lower taxes, reduced regulation, greater freedom, propaganda-free schooling, putting America first, and constitutional rights for all.
Yeah, they’re a radical bunch, those MAGA types. That’s how a denizen of Hell would view it, anyway.
For those interested, Weinstein’s Piers Morgan appearance is below (begins at 42:25). It’s followed by Maye Musk’s comments, which were delivered in a Fox News interview.
