Election Interference 2: Meta Censoring Pro-Trump, Conservative Posts

Meta, the parent of Facebook and Instagram, isn’t just pushing propaganda for Vice President Kamala Harris, or censoring anti-Harris information.

It’s also censoring posts that support Donald Trump, ensuring they don’t see the light of day.

And once again, love-starved Meta employees warbled like songbirds when they met an undercover journalist from O’Keefe Media Group (OMG) for what they thought was a date.

The latest revelations come on the heels of the OMG’s report about the pro-Harris election interference.

The two reports suggest one of two things. 1) Meta employees aren’t following company policy, as described in August by chieftain Mark Zuckerberg in a letter to U.S. House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio). Demoting and/or censoring material was supposed to stop. Or 2) Zuckerberg dissembled when he claimed that controversial stories — i.e., the New York Post’s initial exposé on Hunter Biden’s laptop — were no longer demoted until they are fact-checked.

Pro-Trump Posts Not Allowed

Engineer Matthew Fowler told the undercover OMG journalist how pro-Trump or conservative information is “checked” then deep-sixed.

The journalist asked Fowler about “pro-Republican bullsh*t,” such as “oh, illegals are killing and eating all the dogs and cats,” and whether it would be stripped from the site.

Fowler said his team didn’t take down the information, but instead would “investigate” the claim. Once finished, it goes to “another team to take it down.”

At Meta, he confessed, “pretty much everyone I know there is liberal.”

“Liberal” is something of an anodyne description of the far-left crackpots in social media. But anyway, the journalist also spoke to data scientist Michael Zoorob.

He explained that “fact-checkers” will almost always label anything from a conservative false, regardless of its veracity, and that most Meta fact-checkers are “liberal”:

The vast majority of what fact-checkers label as false is shared by conservatives, and so any policy that like demotes content that is labeled false by fact-checkers is going to disproportionately affect conservatives.

And that’s because the “fact-checkers,” again, are “liberal.” The suppressed Hunter Biden laptop story is an example of Meta’s bias.

The fact-checkers are ”like mainstream media. So I think that would be liberal coated,” he said:

So the Hunter Biden story, the Hunter Biden laptop story is one example. And so apparently the, like, FBI, I think, like, told Mark [Zuckerberg] or told Meta, like, hey there’s this big story that’s going to release and the Russians are involved with it. And then like the next day this Hunter Biden laptop story comes out in the New York Post. And so Meta, like, reduced the dissemination of that post on Facebook, like, through ranking. Like we just down-ranked so it just appeared on people’s feeds less.

Of course, the laptop story wasn’t “Russian disinformation,” as the FBI, President Joe Biden, 51 former top intelligence officials, and the leftist mainstream media falsely claimed.

The third lovelorn Meta engineer who fell for the ruse is Plamen Dzhelepov.

“So do you guys actually suppress those, like, crazy conspiracy right-wing people when they post, like, just absolute garbage?” the undercover journalist asked. Dzhelepov admitted:

It’s either censored or it says, like, a community note thing, where it says like this is disinformation, it’s probably fake, blah blah blah blah blah under the post.

And the people who try to post pro-Trump material won’t be notified if their material is censored or downgraded.

Anti-Harris Material Stopped

We know that from an earlier OMG report.

As The New American reported Thursday, an OMG journalist easily had other Meta employees admit the company’s pro-Harris, pro-Democrat bias.

A software engineer named Jeevan Gyawali happily explained that anti-Harris material goes straight down the memory hole:

Anything related to political content, it’s automatically not shown. Say your uncle in Ohio said something, like, about Kamala Harris is unfit to be a president because she doesn’t have a child. That kind of sh*t is automatically demoted.

And Zuckerberg, he said, is “100 percent” going to help Democrats.

That aside, again, either employees didn’t get the memo that automatic demotion isn’t company policy, or Zuckerberg fibbed to Jordan when he said automatic demotion no longer occurred.

Zuckerberg Letter

In August, in a candid letter to Jordan, Zuckerberg admitted the Biden administration pressured Facebook to censor Covid-19 information the administration didn’t like. He also said that Facebook cooperated with the FBI to kill the story and that the site should not have done so.

“In a separate situation, the FBI warned us about a potential Russian disinformation operation about the Biden family and Burisma in the lead up to the 2020 election,” Zuckerberg wrote:

That fall, when we saw a New York Post story reporting on corruption allegations involving then-Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s family, we sent that story to fact-checkers for review and temporarily demoted it while waiting for a reply. It’s since been made clear that the reporting was not Russian disinformation, and in retrospect, we shouldn’t have demoted the story. We’ve changed our policies and processes to make sure this doesn’t happen again. For instance, we no longer temporarily demote things in the U.S while waiting for fact checkers.

Yeah, Facebook simply deletes and demotes pro-Trump posts. Or so Meta employees say.
