Trump Terminates Agreements Requiring Schools to Enable “Transgenderism”

Most of us have heard about the scores (or more) of “genders” social engineers have conjured up. Thanks to the Trump administration, however, school officials will no longer have to identify as a particular one: “pandergender.”

This is because the administration’s Department of Education is terminating coercive, Obama/Biden-era agreements compelling schools to affirm troubled students’ delusions.

The UPI reports on the story (edited for sanity):

The Trump administration on Monday moved to end civil rights settlements with two colleges and five local school districts requiring them to … [pander to] transgender students.

The Department of Education announced that it would rescind resolution agreements made by the Obama and Biden administrations over [imaginary] Title IX violations that included penalties for refusing to use preferred student pronouns or asking about a student’s preferred gender.

A more realistic framing was provided by the Department of Education itself in a Monday press release:

“Today, the Trump Administration is removing the unnecessary and unlawful burdens that prior Administrations imposed on schools in its relentless pursuit of a radical transgender agenda. While previous Administrations launched Title IX investigations based on ‘misgendering,’ the Trump Administration is investigating allegations of girls and women being injured by men on their sports team or feeling violated by men in their intimate spaces,” said Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights Kimberly Richey…. “No longer will the federal government force educational institutions to violate the law or punish them for upholding it.”

Unsaid: This is also the best thing for MUSS (Made-up Sexual Status, aka “transgender”) students themselves. Renowned psychiatrist Dr. Paul McHugh explained why well many years ago.

“When ‘the tumult and shouting dies [sic],’” he wrote, “it proves not easy nor wise to live in a counterfeit sexual garb.”

In fact, many MUSS individuals who’ve chosen surgical sexual mutilation regret having done so. Why, according to Dr. McHugh, such people’s suicide rate is 20 times that of comparable peers.

Given this, is it loving to enable children’s travel along the dangerous road of delusion that could lead to such mutilation?

More Doses of Reality

In truth, however, there’s much to unpack here. Let’s begin with Title IX. It’s not just that the legislation is unconstitutional. It’s also that it was transitioned — mutilated beyond recognition — by the Obama and Biden administrations.

That is, Title IX prohibits discrimination in education based on “sex.” Of course, when the legislation was crafted in 1972, the framers intended this to reference only the male-female binary. (MUSS statuses never entered their minds.)

Moreover, this definition has not changed. In fact, sexual devolutionary social scientists themselves distinguish between “sex” and “gender.” The former is the biological phenomenon of being male or female, they point out. “Gender” they define differently; it is your perception of what you are, they claim, which can differ from your sex.

And the applying of “gender” to humans is a sexual devolutionary innovation. Note that the term once was almost exclusively used to reference word categories (e.g., masculine, feminine, and neuter). It should be confined to this today, too. Humans have the quality known as “sex” — not gender.

Another reality: Changing your sex is impossible. As philosopher and Heritage Foundation senior fellow Ryan T. Anderson put it in 2018:

Cosmetic surgery and cross-sex hormones can’t change us into the opposite sex. They can affect appearances. They can stunt or damage some outward expressions of our reproductive organization. But they can’t transform it. They can’t turn us from one sex into the other.

It is that “counterfeit sexual garb.” It’s legitimized by counterfeit science, too, asserts Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine psychiatrist Dr. Lawrence Mayer. “Scientifically speaking, transgender men are not biological men and transgender women are not biological women,” he pointed out years ago. “The claims to the contrary are not supported by a scintilla of scientific evidence.”

And the Reality Booster….

Recognizing the above truths yields a striking conclusion. Since people don’t have “gender” and one can’t change sex, “transgender” individuals — or “transsexuals” — do not exist. People with delusions certainly do, though.

Three more realities:

  • No, there aren’t “six sexes,” as some “fashionable” people say, Senate candidate James Talarico (D-Tex.) among them. That notion is an internet-fueled fiction. Referenced are chromosomal abnormalities affecting one sex or the other. An example is Klinefelter syndrome (resulting from the XXY karotype.), which affects only males.
  • Hermaphrodites (people born with both ovarian and testicular tissue) are not truly “intersex.” As with the above, they are either males or females who have undergone abnormal development.
  • Biologists define only two sexes: male and female.

Inmates Running the Asylum

Unfortunately, none of this stopped the Obama and Biden administrations, and others, from enabling and enforcing unscientific irrationality. For instance, as the Associated Press wrote yesterday describing an agreement the Trump administration terminated:

Under a settlement the Delaware Valley School District reached with the Obama administration, the district was required to permit students to use bathrooms that aligned with their gender identity [read: delusion].

Point to ponder: Psychologists do define “gender dysphoria.” This, essentially, is the sense that you’re stuck in the “wrong” sex’s body. Yet they also define “species dysphoria,” the sense that you’re an animal stuck in a human body.

Now, if a kid identifies as a cat, is his school obligated to provide him a litter box?

After all, if a “gender dysphoric” student has a right to choose a bathroom situation aligning with his identity, doesn’t a “species dysphoric” student have the same right?

Then, the Associated Press describes another terminated agreement:

Taft College, a community college in California’s Central Valley, settled a case in 2023 with the Education Department’s Office for Civil Rights after a student accused faculty of discrimination that included refusing to use the student’s preferred pronouns. The college agreed to faculty training on Title IX and a revision of college policies to clarify that refusal to use a person’s preferred name and pronoun could constitute harassment.

Now, addressing people as they wish may seem reasonable to many. But is it always?

What about, for instance, if someone insists on being called “God”? Most people would roll their eyes, and theists would likely find this offensive. What if a child informed school that his pronouns include Jo-Jo the Ferret? Or what if a white supremacist said that his was “Oh, great and superior master”? Would black folks thus address him?

Likewise, it’s unreasonable demanding that people use words (pronouns, in this case) that affirm an agenda they adamantly oppose.

In truth, too, there are no legal “transgender” rights. Not any more than there are legal men’s rights, women’s rights, tall people’s rights, or coffee drinkers’ rights. There are only constitutional rights. And if you’re human, you have them (even if you identify as a ferret).

We need, too, to focus less on rights and more on responsibilities. And a primary responsibility is to avoid enabling enabling lies — especially those that destroy young bodies, minds, and souls.
