Planned Parenthood’s highly anticipated annual report is out, and it shows that the abortion giant managed to do a booming business in dispatching pre-born babies while seeing fewer patients overall.
According to its report for 2015-2016 (ending June 30, 2016), Planned Parenthood clinics performed a total of 328,348 abortions in the calendar year, a slight increase from the 323,999 babies it killed the previous year. Amazingly, the nation’s chief abortionist managed this increase while seeing fewer patients than the previous year — 2.4 million patients for 2015-16, compared to 2.5 million for the previous year. Planned Parenthood also performed fewer of the breast exams it touts as a camouflage for its abortion business — 321,700 — than it did abortions during the same period.
Additionally, the annual report showed that pre-natal services declined from 17,419 in 2014-15 to 9,419 in the latest calendar year.
However, the abortion giant continues to boast a healthy bottom line, reporting $1.4 billion in total revenue in the report, along with $75 million in profits — a nearly 32 percent increase over its 2014-15 profits of $58.8 million.

As for taxpayer funding, during 2015-16 Planned Parenthood and its affiliates received $554.6 million in government moneys (the lion’s share from the federal government) — an increase of about $900,000 from the previous year.
“The bottom line is that Planned Parenthood is getting more government funding and committing more abortions than ever before, while continuing to decrease in key services to women such as cancer screenings, breast exams, and prenatal services,” said Arina Grossu of the Family Research Council’s Center for Human Dignity.
Planned Parenthood’s inextricable connection to abortion has been confirmed through a series of brutal videos produced by the pro-life Center for Medical Progress, which sent undercover investigators into Planned Parenthood clinics and conferences to tape the abortion giant’s own doctors and executives making lighthearted conversation about killing babies and selling their body parts to the highest bidders.
The pro-life American Center for Law and Justice said that with its latest report, Planned Parenthood has made a compelling case for defunding its murderous business. “We cannot stand for Planned Parenthood’s murder, deceit, and deception any longer,” ACLJ said in a prepared statement. “Planned Parenthood’s reign of taxpayer-funded atrocities must end. America needs to wake up.”
Added Jim Sedlak of the American Life League: “It is time that Planned Parenthood lost all of its taxpayer funding. It is time Congress put more emphasis on saving the 328,000 babies who die at Planned Parenthood every year than rewarding campaign contributions. Every day Congress fails to act, 899 more American citizens die at a Planned Parenthood facility in the United States.”
