Prominent users of X have reported that either they or their relatives have been swatted recently in what appears to be an organized effort to terrorize conservative journalists on the social media platform.
The list includes popular X commentators Gunther Eagleman and Nick Sortor, who have large followings.
FBI chieftain Kash Patel has said the bureau is investigating.
But the far Left isn’t stopping with swatting conservatives.
GOP Senator Thom Tillis of North Carolina has released audio of the multiple profanity-laced death threats he has received.
As well, leftists are targeting Tesla cars, trucks, and dealerships with terror and vandalism.
The Swattings
A far-left tactic to intimidate conservatives into silence and perhaps get them killed in a police shootout, swatting involves a call to the police to dispatch units to an address where the conservative is said to be holding his wife and children hostage and about to murder them.
It is, in fact, domestic terrorism.
Though cops showed up at the homes of the conservatives or their relatives, no one, thankfully, was hurt.
“The gloves are off,” wrote Eagleman, who counts 1.4 million followers:
First off, my family is safe.
My house was just swatted. Some ignorant f**k called in a fake hostage situation.
Fortunately, I have good relations with law enforcement, and extra patrols will be added. I don’t tolerate threats and will find the culprit.
This was their worst mistake.
Another target was independent journalist Walter Curt.
“Around 3 a.m. last night, both my phone and my wife’s phone started ringing,” Curt wrote on X, noting that his mother had called to say local police “told her that I was in the house with an AR-15 and had just killed my parents.”
“My parents live in a different state,” Curt wrote:
Regardless, the cops had already arrived and surrounded my house.
I was then contacted by a local PD, where I was told to exit my home with my hands above my head and to walk backwards towards the police.
I complied, and after a short pat down, the cops relaxed.
They took a statement from my wife and me, did a short walk-through of the house, and then left.
They now have my personal cell number and my wife’s personal cell number — as well as have added my house to a specific list in case I’m targeted again.
Curt wrote that he would investigate and find out who swatted him and his family. “If War is what you wanted,” he wrote, “It’s War you shall have.”
Journalist Nick Sortor, who counts almost 920,000 followers, reported that his father and sister were swatted.
“A dozen cops attempted to kick my dad’s door in at gunpoint,” he wrote on X:
This is literal f**king terrorism. And the FBI should treat it as such. …
[T]he caller told police my dad was killing my entire family, requiring them to intervene with deadly force.
This is nothing short of attempted murder. They wanted the police to kill my father.
Syndicated radio host Joe Pagliarulo was also swatted. So also was Shawn Farash.
“This isn’t about politics — weaponizing law enforcement against ANY American is not only morally reprehensible but also endangers lives, including those of our officers,” FBI Director Kash Patel wrote on X:
That will not be tolerated.
We are fully committed to working with local law enforcement to crack down on these crimes.
Tillis Threatened
The threats against Sen. Thom Tillis were remarkable for their ferocity and vile language. That is hardly surprising, coming as they did from deranged leftists.
One caller called Tillis “inbred” and “Southern white trash,” lacing his call with f-bombs.
Another told Tillis that if he’s afraid of death threats, “then get the f**k out of office.” That caller warned that because he was shafting Americans, he had better know that they can “take a f**king ax and cave his f**king head in.”
A crazed woman warned Tillis “to be very careful about going out in public.”
“If I didn’t have a broken back in Southern California, I would spend the rest of my life in federal prison for a chance to cut your f**king throat,” another said.
Tillis said that lunatics had threatened his children and grandchildren as well, the Raleigh News & Observer reported. The paper continued:
Capitol Police reported 9,625 threats against members of Congress in 2021, a record high. That number dropped to 7,501 in 2022, but began to climb again with 8,008 threats in 2023 and 9,474 in 2024. And those are the threats that have been reported.
Musk Threatened
Another of the far Left’s targets is Elon Musk and his Tesla empire.
Leftists have targeted not only his automobiles and dealerships, but also Musk himself. That gang of criminals includes a “trans woman” who attacked a dealership in Loveland, Colorado, with Molotov cocktails. He also vandalized the dealership with graffiti that said “Nazi cars.” The Associated Press falsely called him a “woman.”
Indiana cops arrested leftist David Allen June Cherry on a felony charge of intimidation.
On January 22, Newsweek reported, “in response to an X comment about Musk by right-wing commentator Andrew Tate, he reportedly said: ‘I’ve got enough bullets for his b**** ass and all the rest of you manchildren.’”
“You’ve broken the law,” he told Musk on February 3. “You’re on the hit list.”
Then he added this, police allege:
You’re robbing the American people. We will gut you and parade your corpse through the streets.
But even that wasn’t enough. “I am going to plant a bomb in Elon Musk’s house,” he wrote.
Another leftist kook, Ethan Paul Early, 25, threatened to bomb Musk’s artificial-intelligence data center. Early admitted to cops that he had, indeed, told friends about the threat, but said he thought better of it after speaking with friends, The Associated Press reported of Early’s arrest in February.
“The Defendant admitted that he had gotten too wrapped up in politics and had went ‘too far down the deep end,’” AP quoted from the arrest affidavit.
