The man who said he wished he had killed Kyle Rittenhouse during the Kensoha riots in August has been arrested again. The time, cops allege, he refused a test after cops stopped him for driving while intoxicated.
Gaige Grosskreutz, a violent career criminal, earned the usual sympathy from the crackpot Left when Rittenhouse, on his back and under a vicious attack from leftist rioters, shot him. Grosskreutz had pulled a gun in an obvious threat, if not attempt, to shoot the 17-year-old.
Cops didn’t charge Grosskreutz for that crime. But in October they nailed him for refusing the intoxication test, and in November, cops charged him with speeding and driving without proof of insurance.
Grosskreutz, it seems, just can’t stay out of trouble.
The Latest Charges
Cops collared Grosskreutz on October 6, records show.
As the Kenosha County Eye reported, West Allis police nailed him at about 2:40 a.m., but he refused the test, which invited a notice that authorities would revoke his driver’s license.
Yet court records show that his hearing has been postponed for no apparent reason.

But a district attorney told the publication the habitual offender’s latest case would be handled like any other.

Yet even with that latest offense, Grosskreutz was still behind the wheel in November, court records show. Cops cited him for speeding through a 30- to 34-mph zone at 55 mph.
The court fined him $295 and suspended his license for 15 days. The court fined him another $10 for driving without proof of insurance.
[wpmfpdf id=”114589″ embed=”1″ target=””][wpmfpdf id=”114585″ embed=”1″ target=””]Yet Grosskreutz’s criminal history goes far beyond drunk driving and other traffic infractions.
In 2017, Grosskreutz pleaded guilty to carrying a firearm while intoxicated.
[wpmfpdf id=”114588″ embed=”1″ target=””]And the Kenosha County Eye dug up records, now unavailable at Wisconsin’s court website, that depict an unhinged, dangerous man. The website listed the following offenses gleaned from police reports:
- Simple Assault/Domestic Violence
- Burglary of Home
- Criminal Trespass to Dwelling
- Disorderly Conduct
- Criminal Damage to Property
- OWI
- Possession of Firearm by Felon
- Possession of Firearm while intoxicated
- Endangering Safety by use of Dangerous Weapon
- Loud Noise
- Obedience to Officers
- Prowling
The worst of those, police reports show, was the domestic assault. Grosskreutz slapped his grandmother in the face, she told cops, and smashed a lamp against the wall in her home.

It’s unsurprising then, that Grosskreutz joined the madness in Kenosha after the shooting of sex-assault suspect Jacob Blake, which a prosecutor has rightly decided was justified.
After Rittenhouse shot and killed child rapist Joseph Rosenbaum and convicted strangler Anthony Huber, both of whom attacked him, one more would-be assailant approached. That was Grosskreutz. Brandishing a semi-automatic pistol, Grosskreutz moved against the 17-year-old as he lay on the ground. Rittenhouse shot him in the arm.
In the hospital, as The New American reported at the time, Grosskreutz told a friend he wished had killed Rittenhouse.
The friend disclosed the conversation on Facebook:
[S]o the kid shot gaige as he drew his weapon and gaige retreated with his gun in hand. I just talked to Gaige Grosskreutz toohis only regret is not killing the kid and hesitating to pull the gun before emptying the entire mag into it. Coward
Apparently, police and prosecutors in Kenosha are unconcerned that Grosskreutz, a convicted felon, carried a firearm the night of the riots, threatened Rittenhouse with it, and then told a friend he should have killed the 17-year-old.
Prosecutors haven’t charged Grosskreutz for being a felon in possession of a firearm, nor for the obvious threat against Rittenhouse.
