The anticipated release of new Jeffrey Epstein files that would include client lists turned out to be a dud, with essentially no new information. About 200 pages, including a series of flight logs of Epstein’s private jet, a partially redacted “contacts list,” and a redacted list of “masseuses,” was released.
U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi was not pleased. She sent FBI Director Kash Patel a letter saying she learned the FBI field office in New York was withholding thousands of documents that neither she nor Patel previously knew existed. She demanded everything on Epstein by 8:00 a.m. Friday:
Deliver the full and complete Epstein files to my office, including all records, documents, audio and video recordings, and materials related to Jeffrey Epstein and his clients, regardless of how much information was obtained. There will be no withholding or limitations to my or your access.
Order Not Followed
Bondi also ordered Patel to investigate why her order was not followed.
Patel posted a tweet, seemingly related to this development, saying:
The FBI is entering a new era — one that will be defined by integrity, accountability, and the unwavering pursuit of justice. There will be no cover-ups, no missing documents, and no stone left unturned — and anyone from the prior or current Bureau who undermines this will be swiftly pursued. If there are gaps, we will find them. If records have been hidden, we will uncover them. And we will bring everything we find to the DOJ to be fully assessed and transparently disseminated to the American people as it should be. The oath we take is to the Constitution, and under my leadership, that promise will be upheld without compromise.
Jeffrey Epstein was a financier and a convicted pedophile. On August 10, 2019, he died in his jail cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York City. His suspicious death was officially ruled a suicide by hanging. Investigative journalists have alleged Epstein was an intelligence agent, possibly CIA, Mossad, or even MI6, who ran honey traps to blackmail powerful people.
