A deranged leftist in North Dakota has confessed to a hit-and-run homicide because he thought a Republican boy was an “extremist.”
The victim is 18-year-old Cayler Ellingson. The driver was Shannon Brandt, 41.
The larger story is this: The hate-MAGA fury that Biden spewed on September 1 from a pulpit bathed in Stygian red and black might well have led to the death of an innocent kid.
“Extremist Group”
Sadly, before Brandt mowed him down, Cayler called his Mom for help.
“Brandt called 911 to report that he had hit a pedestrian because he was threatening him,” Valley News 5 in Fargo reported:
Brandt told State Radio [911] that the pedestrian was part of a Republican extremist group and that he was afraid they were “coming to get him.”…
After visiting the scene where the incident happened, deputies went to Brandt’s house in Glenfield, ND, which is about 12 minutes from the crash scene. Brandt admitted to consuming alcohol before the incident, and stated he hit Ellingson with his car because he had a political argument with him. Brandt also admitted to deputies that he initially left the crash scene, then returned to call 911, but left again before deputies could arrive.
Court documents say just before the crash, Ellingson called his mom and asked if they knew who Brandt was. She said yes, and told her son she was on her way to pick him up. A short time later, court documents say Ellingson called his mom again to say that “he” or “they” were chasing him. It was after the second call that Ellingson could not be reached again.
Because Brandt has a drunk-driving conviction, the Grand Forks Herald reported, he faces a minimum 10 years in prison and a maximum of 20.
Prosecutors charged Brandt with vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of a fatal wreck. Bail is $50,000.
Biden Speech
The alcohol-fueled killing came just about three weeks after Biden delivered a speech that leftists crackpots applauded.
“Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our Republic,” Biden lied:
But there is no question that the Republican Party today is dominated, driven, and intimidated by Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans, and that is a threat to this country.
But Biden was just warming up. The man who should be impeached for refusing to faithfully execute U.S. immigration law, and is openly and brazenly aiding and abetting an illegal-alien invasion across the southwest border, claimed “MAGA Republicans” are hateful extremists who hate the law and the Constitution and want to undermine free elections:
MAGA Republicans do not respect the Constitution. They do not believe in the rule of law. They do not recognize the will of the people.
They refuse to accept the results of a free election. And they’re working right now, as I speak, in state after state to give power to decide elections in America to partisans and cronies, empowering election deniers to undermine democracy itself.
Worst still, Biden continued, “MAGA forces” are the enemies of all that is good: birth control, abortion-on-demand, and a fiction called “gay marriage.”
“They look at the mob that stormed the United States Capitol on January 6th — brutally attacking law enforcement — not as insurrectionists who placed a dagger to the throat of our democracy, but they look at them as patriots,” the deranged president fumed:
And they see their MAGA failure to stop a peaceful transfer of power after the 2020 election as preparation for the 2022 and 2024 elections.
They tried everything last time to nullify the votes of 81 million people. This time, they’re determined to succeed in thwarting the will of the people.…
MAGA Republicans have made their choice. They embrace anger. They thrive on chaos. They live not in the light of truth but in the shadow of lies….
We’re all called, by duty and conscience, to confront extremists who will put their own pursuit of power above all else….
Democracy cannot survive when one side believes there are only two outcomes to an election: either they win or they were cheated. And that’s where MAGA Republicans are today.
The obvious question is whether Biden’s bile poisoned Brandt, who mowed down a young man he claimed was an “extremist,” just as Biden called upon his herd of bovine disciples to “confront extremists” who threaten the country.
