Sex-assault suspect Jacob Blake was armed and dangerous when police shot him, and the day of the shooting, a woman called police because he was not supposed be near her.
The shooting sent Kenosha, Wisconsin, up in flames when video appeared to show police chasing him down and shooting him in the back for no good reason.
But a preliminary report from the state’s Justice Department says Blake, the target of an arrest warrant on the assault, resisted arrest and had a knife within reach when an officer shot him seven times as he tried to get into his car.
New 411
The department reported that officers “were dispatched to a residence in the 2800 block of 40th Street after a female caller reported that her boyfriend was present and was not supposed to be on the premises.”
The release does not identify the woman, but news reports call Laquisha Booker, the mother of three of Blake’s children and the one who accused him of the sexual assault that led to the warrant for his arrest, his “partner” and “fiancée.”

When cops showed up to arrest him, Blake resisted, the department reported:
Law enforcement deployed a taser to attempt to stop Mr. Blake, however the taser was not successful in stopping Mr. Blake. Mr. Blake walked around his vehicle, opened the driver’s side door, and leaned forward. While holding onto Mr. Blake’s shirt, Officer Rusten Sheskey fired his service weapon 7 times. Officer Sheskey fired the weapon into Mr. Blake’s back. No other officer fired their weapon. Kenosha Police Department does not have body cameras, therefore the officers were not wearing body cameras.
Amazingly, Blake confessed that he was indeed armed and dangerous:
During the investigation following the initial incident, Mr. Blake admitted that he had a knife in his possession. DCI agents recovered a knife from the driver’s side floorboard of Mr. Blake’s vehicle. A search of the vehicle located no additional weapons.
Sheskey is a seven-year veteran of the Kenosha police force.
The report does not say Booker had a restraining order.
Details Align With Video
Video initially broadcast nationwide did not offer a true picture of the shooting, but that didn’t stop the leftist media, now an information ministry for the Marxist Black Lives Matter, from suggesting that Sheskey was a reckless maniac who wanted to shoot a black man for being black.
In fact, more video clearly shows that Blake resisted police at the rear of the passenger side of the car, walked around the front, and then tried to get in. That’s when Sheskey fired seven times.
As well, the criminal complaint and a newspaper report about Blake depict a violent thug. In May, he sexually assaulted Booker, she told police, although she turned down a restraining order. A newspaper report in 2015 reported that he pulled a gun on someone in a bar. Later that evening, he resisted arrest.
On July 7, police issued a warrant for Blake’s arrest on the sex-assault charge, a Class G felony in Wisconsin, and two misdemeanors.
Booker told police that Blake broke into her home and awakened her at 6 a.m. Standing over her bed, he demanded his “s**t.”
As Booker lay in bed, Blake “reached his hand between her legs, penetrated her vaginally with a finger, pull[ed] it out and sniffed it, and said, ‘Smells like you’ve been with other men.’”
In the criminal complaint, Booker identified Blake as her “ex-boyfriend.”
Yet after he fought with police and wound up with seven bullets in his back, and despite an arrest warrant for a sex-assault in which Booker was the victim, he suddenly became her “fiancée” and “soon-to-be husband” in news reports.
Booker and a family attorney falsely told the news media that Blake was unarmed.
One Man’s Opinion
At this writing, Blake’s Go Fund Me Account has raised more than $1.7 million, a “portion” of which will go to support Blake’s many children. Just yesterday, the figure was a little more than $1.4 million, meaning the account gained some $300,000, or 21.4 percent, in 24 hours.
One man unimpressed with the BLM-media view of the shooting or the putative virtues of Jacob Blake is Christian Walker, the son of retired football star Herschel Walker.
“Jacob Blake was a disgusting career criminal, with a horribly violent past,” Christian Walker tweeted Wednesday as his dad spoke at the Republican National Convention. “Black supremacists are defending him solely because of his skin color…. STOP KNEELING TO THE BLM NUTCASES.”
