Striking a blow for sanity in a world gone “trans” mad, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a bill to ban so-called transgender women from women’s sports because “transgender women” aren’t women.
They are men who pretend to be women.
Only two Democrats had the courage to vote against permitting men to join women’s sports teams, where they not only dominate physically but also routinely and severely harm the women.
The Bill
The Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act, introduced by GOP Representative Greg Steube of Florida, passed 218-216.
The two Democrats who stood up for women besieged by inferior men were Vicente Gonzales and Henry Cueller, both Texans.
The bill says that “It shall be a violation of subsection” of federal law “for a recipient of Federal financial assistance who operates, sponsors, or facilitates an athletic program or activity to permit a person whose sex is male to participate in an athletic program or activity that is designated for women or girls.”
And “sex,” it says, “shall be recognized based solely on a person’s reproductive biology and genetics at birth.”
Study Required
The legislation also directs the Comptroller General to study what happens to women athletes when men invade women’s sports.
The study will include “looking at benefits to women or girls of participating in single sex sports that would be lost by allowing males to participate,” the bill says, and “shall document the adverse psychological, developmental, participatory, and sociological results” of permitting men to join women’s teams.
That includes “displacement or discouragement from sports participation, deprivation of a roster spot on a team or sport, loss of the opportunity to participate in a practice or competition, loss of a scholarship or scholarship opportunities, loss or displacement of admission to an educational institution, deprivation of the benefit of an environment free of hostility based on sexual assault or harassment, or loss of any other benefit that accompanies participating in the athletics program or activity.”
Deranged Dems
Pro-tranny Democrats led a deranged effort to defeat the bill. They falsely claimed it would permit perverts and pedophiles to examine the genitalia of girls and women to prove they are eligible to play on a girls’ or women’s team.
The Party of the Woke, which just took an electoral shellacking, called it the “Child Predator Empowerment Act.”
The bill will end in “genital examinations into little girls in this country,” Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) said. It will “empower pedophiles and predators,” Representative Maxwell Frost (D-Fla.) falsely fumed.
Girls will face “Taliban-like enforcers in our schools,” said another in the parade of woke Democrats, many of whom recently voted against deporting illegal-alien sex perverts and pedophiles.
The bill now must pass the U.S. Senate, where GOP Senator Tommy Tuberville of Alabama sponsored it.
President Trump ran on the issue of saving women’s sports and won in a landslide. Seventy percent of Americans agree — men don’t belong in women’s sports or locker rooms.
Those Americans include former Democratic rainmaker Lindy Li, who bolted the party after the Left attacked her for demanding that Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign explain how it blew $2.5 billion.
But Li also said the party’s “craziness” and its far-left kookery is “accelerating my rightward shift.” And leaving it, she said, is akin to leaving a cult. That might explain the cultish mantra that a bill to protect girls and women on their sports team would subject them to “Taliban-like enforcers” who would check their genitals.
“I don’t want to be a part of this nonsense anymore,” Li said:
I want to be a part of the team that says men are men and women are women and that men shouldn’t play in women’s sports.
What Happens When Men Play With Women
While “genital examinations on little girls” are a Handmaid’s Tale-like fantasy, the brutal physical beating that girls and women take when they compete against boys and men isn’t.
Example: Payton McNabb, the volleyball player.
McNabb took a spike to the face from a hulking bruiser. It knocked her out cold for 30 seconds.
She lay on the floor “twisted into a ‘fencing position’” that suggested severe brain trauma, the story continued, she told a writer for the Independent Women’s Forum.
“My coach’s wife kept trying to push my arms and legs down, but they kept coming back up. She had no idea what was happening,” McNabb said. “The boy who hit me and the girls on his team were standing on the other side of the net laughing at me.”
The spike gave her a concussion, vision problems, and partial paralysis on her right side.
Women soccer players in Australia, one of which lost a championship to an all “transwomen team,” tell the same tales.
But beyond injuries, men dominate the sports in which they compete against women, apropos of “Lia” Thomas, real name William. He pretended to be a woman to join NCAA women’s swimming.
He “won” the NCAA’s Division I 500-yard freestyle swimming championship in 2022. The real winner was Emma Weyant.
In December, Texas sued the NCAA for “false, deceptive, and misleading practices by advertising and selling goods and services” because it permits “transwomen” to play on women’s teams.
The state asked a court to give the NCAA a choice: Either ban ban men from women’s sports, or stop advertising women’s sports as “women’s” sports.
