Yes, the System Is Rigged — But It Can Get a Lot Worse

In the submarine classic The Hunt for Red October there is a scene in which Capt. Vasili Borodin is talking to his superior, played by Sean Connery, about the kind of life he wants once he’s successfully defected to America. Capt. Borodin says he plans to live in Montana. He wants to marry an American woman, have a pickup truck — maybe even a “recreational vehicle” — and drive from state to state. When he says this last part, there’s a rush of delight reflected on his face. He asks to make sure: “Do they let you do that?” Yes, he’s told. In America, they let you drive from state to state.

Since its inception, the United States of America has been the most popular destination for immigrants. Among the most sought-after American perks has been freedom. Capt. Borodin was very excited about a liberty we take for granted: driving wherever we want, whenever we want, without having to stop at checkpoints and answer to the state.

For someone who’s lived under Soviet tyranny, this type of low-key liberty is very satisfying. But here in America, it’s one we take for granted. And this freedom to get in our cars and drive anywhere we want without having to justify our actions to the state is just one of many we will lose if the International Oligarch Cabal has its way. These people want to eliminate personal transportation, they want to cram everyone into compact, 15-minute “smart” cities, and they want to surveil and manipulate every aspect of our lives — and that only applies to the part of the population they won’t kill or throw in jail.

This week’s news cycle continued a pattern of dismal reminders that our leaders hate America, hate our way of life, and hate the political and faith values that have made this country the freest in all of human history.

Two retired FBI assistant directors recently sent a letter to congressional leaders warning that an invasion of military-aged men with aspirations to “devastate national infrastructure” is “unfolding now.” House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) mentioned this during a speech on the House floor this past week. He correctly pointed out that the Biden administration has had the power to stop the invasion all along, but hasn’t.

In Pennsylvania, 24 Republican legislators filed a lawsuit alleging that state election rules were changed via unconstitutional means and that those changes need to be reversed. The Left modified the election rules to give themselves a cheating advantage. They even implemented measures that failed the legislative process.

Another major development was Republicans filing articles of impeachment against a Biden Cabinet member who should be investigated, tried, found guilty, and thrown in jail. DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas is by all appearances a criminal. An architect behind the disastrous open border policies, he has caused the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people. And that, of course, is not counting the carnage that will come about once the sleeper enemy cells he has let into the country release their evil.

Last week, I made a case for why I think the diabolical elites who exert massive influence over our culture, economy, and policies are afraid of us. My reasoning was simple: If they weren’t afraid, they wouldn’t continue lurking in the shadows and lying about their true intentions. They’d stop tiptoeing around the totalitarian policies they want to bring about and just force them down our throats. But they haven’t done this because they don’t have all the pieces in place yet, and if they move too early, they’ll be crushed.

This, of course, is a simplified version of what is likely happening. I’m sure there is friction among the various factions of the Cabal and there is resistance within key institutions that need to be completely captured for their plan to succeed. Nevertheless, the bottom line is: If they could’ve leveled their one-world hellhole dystopia on us by now, they would’ve done it.

I believe Trump’s 2016 election victory and the blatantly corrupt effort to stop him since then have forced the Cabal off their timetable and triggered desperate actions that exposed it. Trump showed that the media serves as the Cabal’s Propaganda Ministry. Trump legitimized the belief that the Deep State exists. His being robbed of the 2020 election victory woke up millions around the world. And the lawfare that continues to this day against him only brings more people into the MAGA camp.

We are in a better position today to restore our country than we were 10, 20, even 60 years ago — if for no other reason than that we’ve reached critical mass in the effort to red-pill the public.

But there’s a problem among many of the red-pilled: despair.

The most common justification for the despair is that the system is rigged. And since the playing field is uneven, the reasoning goes, there’s no point in playing. This sort of defeatism is lazy, selfish, and self-destructive. If you think things are bad now, wait till you get a load of what they’ll do if they take complete control. Think Covid-era dictates, add a big splash of Chinese-style roundups, and a couple cups of Nazi-style concentration camps, and then slather on a layer of 21st-century, full-blown surveillance.

The sophisticated criminals behind the scenes are very evil. They do not see all human beings as equal in value. You can tell they hate regular people by the insanely destructive social patterns they inject into our culture. They hate individual liberty and godly values.

Their aim is to destroy God’s plan for human thriving. If they win, complete darkness will descend. If they win, the entire planet will be one large totalitarian hellhole. If they win, your children and grandchildren will never know what it’s like to be free. They’ll never know what it’s like to live in a small town, to own a personal vehicle, to get up and go whenever they want.

If the Cabal wins, it’s our fault.

There’s no time for whining, despair, and defeatist tropes. As bad as things are now, if good Americans sit out the fight because the battlefield is uneven, a darkness of unprecedented degree will descend on the entire world.

If the Cabal achieves its agenda, there will be nowhere to run. America is the last stand.
