The recently passed resolution to authorize an impeachment investigation of Traitor Joe Biden doesn’t list the high crimes and misdemeanors for which the House of Representatives might impeach him. It merely authorizes probes by three committees.
But buried in the not-so-fine print is the reason why the GOP is called “The Stupid Party.” As The New American explained in three recent articles of its print edition, the House will impeach Biden — if it impeaches him — because he was involved in son’s illegal business dealings. Ignored will be the crime for which Biden should be impeached: the illegal-alien invasion at the southwest border, and increasingly, at the northern border with Canada.
Problems abound with this plan. Tops among them is that Biden committed his most corrupt act when he was vice president. As leftist legal scholar Alan Dershowitz has explained, no one knows whether the Constitution permits the impeachment of a president for crimes committed when he was vice president.
Which invites the obvious observation that the GOP isn’t serious about taking down a president who has committed what amounts to treason.
The Resolution
HR 918 begins as follows:
Resolved, That the Committees on Oversight and Accountability, Ways and Means, and the Judiciary are directed to continue their ongoing investigations as part of the House of Representatives inquiry into whether sufficient grounds exist for the House of Representatives to exercise its Constitutional power to impeach Joseph Biden, President of the United States of America, including as set forth in the memorandum issued by the Chairs of the Committees on Oversight and Accountability, Ways and Means, and Judiciary of the House of Representatives, entitled “Impeachment Inquiry”, dated September 27, 2023.
After that, the resolution charges the committees on the Judiciary, Ways and Means, and Oversight and Accountability to open hearings and investigate the Biden Mafia. The resolution also authorizes Judiciary to open an impeachment inquiry.
That all sounds compelling, but let’s look at the memorandum of September 27.
It focuses strictly on Biden’s corruption. Here is the summary of that document:
On September 27, 2023, pursuant to the Speaker’s directive, the Committees released a memorandum laying out what the Committees were investigating, including: (1) foreign money received by the Biden family; (2) President Joe Biden’s involvement in his family’s foreign business entanglements; and (3) steps taken by the Biden Administration to slow, hamper, or otherwise impede the criminal investigation of the President’s son, Hunter Biden, which involves funds received by the Biden family from foreign sources.
On December 5, the three committees released a report on the Justice Department’s slow-walking the probe.
All this is well and good in the sense that we shouldn’t have crooks running the government, and certainly not a vice president who threatened to withhold $1 billion in loan guarantees from a country if it refused to fire a prosecutor who was investigating a company that employed that vice president’s son. An FBI informant said the owner of the company bribed the Bidens. The planetary business activities are well known, with money flowing into the family from China, Romania, and elsewhere. Everyone knows the Bidens are corrupt to the core. Foreign money was even channeled to Biden’s daughter-in-law.
But bad as that is, Biden’s self-dealing and taking bribes is not an existential threat to the country.
The Invasion
Here’s what is an existential threat: An invasion of penniless Third World illegal aliens that includes military age men from this nation’s enemies, including China.
Again, as The New American print edition of November explained, here is what Biden has done:
- created a smartphone app to legalize illegals before they leave home to invade;
- “paroled” more than 300,000 Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans, and Venezuelans annually;
- sent illegals with tuberculosis to 44 states;
- flown more than 200,000 illegals into the country; and,
- released 100,000 illegals to roam free in September alone.
Those data surfaced before a shocking report from Representative Jim Jordan’s (R-Ohio) House Judiciary Committee, which pried the following information out of the administration:
• Of the more than 5 million illegal alien encounters from January 20, 2021, through March 31, 2023, at least 2,464,424 illegal aliens had no confirmed departure from the United States as of March 31, 2023.
• Of the illegal aliens encountered in those 26 months, DHS released at least 2,148,738 illegal aliens into the United States.
• Between January 20, 2021, and March 31, 2023, the Biden Administration has removed from the United States only 5,993 illegal aliens who were encountered at the southwest border and who were placed in removal proceedings before an immigration judge during that time. In other words, of the at least 2.1 million aliens released into the United States since January 20, 2021, the Biden Administration has failed to remove, through immigration court removal proceedings, roughly 99.7 percent of those illegal aliens.
• The Biden Administration’s total removals of illegal aliens encountered during that same period were just 4 percent of the number of aliens with no confirmed departure from the United States as of March 31, 2023.
• These data contradict Secretary [Alejandro] Mayorkas’s statements that the southwest border is closed and that illegal aliens are “quickly” removed. Instead, with more than 99 percent of illegal aliens staying inside the United States after being released by the Biden Administration, there is virtually no enforcement of our immigration laws.
• Of the illegal aliens who Secretary Mayorkas claims are asylum seekers and who were released into the United States from January 20, 2021, through March 31, 2023, only six percent were screened for a fear of persecution.
• Of the illegal aliens who were found to have a credible fear of persecution and whose asylum claims were adjudicated on the merits, DHS had removed only 874 of those aliens as of March 2023.
• The Biden Administration has released into the country at least an additional 205,473 aliens through its illegal categorical parole programs.
In committing this treason, Biden has broken myriad laws that require the detention and/or expulsion of illegals caught at the border and that his Homeland Security secretary, unindicted Cuban visa fraudster Alejandro Mayorkas, to maintain “operational control” of the border. More specifically, Biden is aiding and abetting the importation of illegals, a federal felony.
And he’s committed these high crimes and misdemeanors as president.
Colorado GOP Representative Lauren Boebert’s impeachment resolution explains it:
Using the powers of his high office, President Biden has knowingly presided over an executive branch that has continuously, overtly, and consistently violated Federal immigration law by pursuing an aggressive, open-borders agenda by purposefully and knowingly releasing more than 2,000,000 illegal aliens into the interior of the United States without the intention or ability to ensure that they appear in immigration court to face asylum or deportation proceedings.
President Biden has intentionally facilitated a complete and total invasion at the southern border. President Biden ended the Migrant Protection Protocols to require aliens seeking asylum to remain in Mexico while being processed by the Department of Homeland Security. President Biden has closed Department of Homeland Security detention facilities and refused to cooperate with State and local law enforcement officials in securing the border. He has allowed illegal aliens to enter the United States as asylum seekers despite knowing they did not qualify for asylum. President Biden has pursued this open-border agenda purposefully and willfully, circumventing every safeguard, check, and balance required by law, resulting in mass illegal immigration into the United States, to the detriment of the American people.
The House should have impeached Biden in June. The Senate would not have convicted him, of course. But impeachment would have sent the message that the party takes the invasion seriously, and exposed Biden’s border treason to the country at large.
The leftist Mainstream Media would have been forced to give the invasion more coverage, which might have undermined Biden even with his own voters. Some of them surely don’t think a president should help an invasion of his own country.
So Biden is breaking the law to elect a new people, and the GOP wants to impeach him for corruption. If that’s not stupid, perhaps someone can explain what is.
