With the 2024 presidential election two weeks away, former President Donald Trump has received the support of former NFL players Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell. In response to Brown’s support of Trump, Brian Shapiro, host of the talk radio show Pushing the Limits, went on an unhinged rant criticizing and insulting Brown during an on-air tirade:
Let’s talk about Antonio Brown for a moment, um, so Antonio Brown, who has a lifelong criminal record by the way, and can’t put two sentences together, he’s probably one of the dumbest athletes or former athletes you will ever hear, decided to campaign for Donald Trump. Again, this guy is illiterate, he’s worse at reading than, than Floyd Mayweather, and that’s pretty bad. Antonio Brown, the illiterate moron that he is, spoke at a Donald Trump rally, and have a listen to this incoherent criminal jackass speaking on behalf of the former president.
Brown and Bell, former Pittsburgh Steelers players, are campaigning for Trump in Pennsylvania, with Brown speaking at a Trump campaign rally in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, over the weekend:
Brown responded to Shapiro’s defamatory claims that he is “illiterate,” acknowledging the radio host’s diatribe is often how leftists react when black men don’t support Democratic Party candidates, stating in a post on X:
I have a college degree #CTESPN
One I got after finishing playing in the NFL
This is what you guys think of a Black Man who doesn’t vote for who you think I should vote for….
“One of dumbest athletes”
Can you remember a 300 page playbook?
Shapiro responded to Brown, maintaining he stands by every word he said, and alleged Brown accused him of “being a racist” for pointing out the reality that black men are being insulted by leftists for supporting Trump, stating in a post on X:
Seems like Antonio Brown @AB84 is accusing me of being a racist. Laughable stuff. I never brought up race, he did. I stand by every word I said about him, and I have receipts to back my words. He is a lifelong illiterate criminal, dumb as a doornail. He and Trump have plenty in common.
Many users on X also considered Shapiro’s remarks to be racist “dog whistle” criticisms, with one user on X responding, “Bro we get it, you hate free thinking black people.” Shapiro responded by confirming his hatred for Trump supporters, stating in a post on X:
Nope, I hate illiterate and uneducated MAGA supporters.
Guessing you are one of them
