Russian President Vladimir Putin said he supported Vice President Kamala Harris while speaking at the 9th Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) plenary session. The EEF broadcast translated Putin’s remarks in support of Harris, stating:

If we can name a favorite candidate, it was, it used to be Joe Biden but now he’s not participating in the election campaign and he recommended to all his allies to support Mrs. Harris, so that is what we are going to do. So it was, well he said that we should, that is why we should also do that.

Well her laugh, she’s laughing, her laugh is so fascinating, it means that everything is good, and if everything is good, it means that, for instance, if we’re speaking about Joe Biden there are so many sanctions against Russia introduced, and if everything is good with Mrs. Harris, maybe she will refrain herself from such measures, or maybe she will change them, so in the end it will be the choice of the U.S. people and we will respect this choice.

The remarks by Putin come a day after the U.S. Department of Justice announced it seized 32 internet domains and indicted two RT employees for sending wire transfers totaling $9.7 million to U.S. media companies allegedly as payment for “pro-Russia propaganda and disinformation across social media to U.S. audiences.”
