Elon Musk met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday. Musk and Netanyahu, along with other Israeli officials, walked through a destroyed kibbutz that was attacked by Hamas in October. Israeli officials described the visit to the kibbutz, saying, “The prime minister and Musk then proceeded to the Edan family home, where Musk heard about the family story of four-year-old Abigail Edan, whose parents were murdered and who was kidnapped to Gaza and released yesterday from Hamas captivity.”

The Times of Israel reports that Israeli President Isaac Herzog spoke with Musk about antisemitic speech on X, saying Musk has a role in fighting the speech on his platform: “And you have a huge role to play, and I think we need to fight it together, because under the platforms you lead, unfortunately, there is a harboring of a lot of old hate which is Jew hate, which is antisemitism.”

Musk also met with Israeli Minister of Communications Shlomo Karhi during his visit to discuss Starlink, a service that provides satellite internet. Karhi stated they reached an agreement on Starlink operations, with Musk allowing Israel to control the service in Israel and Gaza. Karhi said on X, “As a result of this significant agreement, Starlink satellite units can only be operated in Israel with the approval of the Israeli Ministry of Communications, including the Gaza Strip.”
