Israel, Qatar, and the United States confirmed the four-day ceasefire in Gaza has been extended by two days, with 10 hostages being released on today and 10 on Wednesday. During the four-day ceasefire, Israel released 150 Palestinian women and children incarcerated in Israeli prisons for security offenses. Hamas released 50 Israeli women and children, as well as 19 foreign citizens. Israel and Hamas have both agreed to continue the cease-fire as long as 10 hostages are released each day.

The Israel Defense Forces reported today that Hamas has violated the ceasefire by detonating three explosive devices in northern Gaza, and directing gunfire at Israeli soldiers: “Three explosive devices were detonated adjacent to IDF troops in two different locations in the northern Gaza strip…. In one of the locations, terrorists also opened fire at the troops, who responded with fire.”
