Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has apparently decided that the border agents who did not use whips on Haitian illegal aliens at the border are guilty of wrongdoing.
He not only suspended the agents, but also told a session of the U.S. House Homeland Security Committee that they don’t represent the Border Patrol. After a short investigation, it appears, Mayorkas will fire the innocent men.
Apparently, Mayorkas believes his duty is to ensure the safe passage of illegal aliens into the United States. Border agents who do their jobs will lose them. With President Joe Biden’s support, Mayorkas is releasing the illegals into the United States.
The border agents must go; the illegals must come.
The Announcement
The trouble for the agents began when leftists circulated photos and video that supposedly showed them using whips to beat illegal aliens who had massed at Del Rio, Texas.
The agents did not use whips, nor, as leftists alleged, did they use their reins as whips. The photos are clear, as The New American reported yesterday.
The agents were, as Democrat Representative Henry Cuellar told CNN, doing their jobs.
No matter.
DHS “directed an immediate investigation of the events that were captured in the photographs & on video,” Mayorkas tweeted. “We need this resolved swiftly. I anticipate that the results of the investigation will be available by the end of next week & I’ve committed to making the results public.”
Then he explained that he had lowered the boom on the men, and strongly suggested they mistreated the illegals:
The individuals who are the subject of the investigation are on administrative duties currently. They are not executing their other law enforcement duties and they are not to be interacting with other migrants at this time during the pendency of the investigation.
We do not condone, we do not tolerate any mistreatment of any migrant. The actions we’re taking are swift and strong, and we will take further action as the facts adduced in the investigation compel.
Mayorkas also smeared the agents before the House committee.
The agents “do not reflect who we are as a country nor do they reflect who the United States Custom and Border Protection is,” the leftist Cuban immigrant said.
Mayorkas vowed to probe the matter “with tremendous speed and with tremendous force.”
“We have ensured that individuals, during the pendency of the investigation, are not conducting law enforcement duties to interact with migrants,” he said.
Of course, top Democrats also falsely accused the agents of using whips.
Said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi:
Reports of the mistreatment of Haitian migrants fleeing violence and devastation from natural disasters are deeply troubling, including the inappropriate use of what appear to be whips by Border Patrol officers on horseback to intimidate migrants.
All migrants seeking asylum must be treated in accordance with the law and with basic decency. Any acts of aggression or violence cannot be tolerated and must be investigated.
The agents are, Democrats say, guilty as charged.
False Narrative
As TNA reported, leftists manufactured the hysteria and moral panic to justify bringing the illegals into the country.
Just after the fake news about whips went viral, CBS and other leftist media reported that the Biden Regime has been flooding the country with the penniless “migrants.”
“Many Haitian migrants camped in a small Texas border town are being released in the United States, two U.S. officials said, undercutting the Biden administration’s public statements that the thousands in the camp faced immediate expulsion,” the leftist network reported:
Haitians have been freed on a “very, very large scale” in recent days, according to one U.S. official who put the figure in the thousands. The official, with direct knowledge of operations, was not authorized to discuss the matter Tuesday and thus spoke on condition of anonymity.
Immigration officials released the illegals “with notices to appear at an immigration office within 60 days,” which means they can disappear, establish themselves, drop anchor babies, then claim their kids are DREAMers.
DHS is busing the illegals across Texas, and this week began flying them to Tucson, Arizona. As well, the network reported, an official disclosed that “large numbers of Haitians were being processed under immigration laws and not being placed on expulsion flights.”
Mayorkas warned illegals they had better not show up at the border.
“If you come to the United States illegally, you will be returned, your journey will not succeed,” Mayorkas laughably lied on September 20.
