Two previously deported illegals have been collared for sex crimes against children, yet again proving President Trump’s claim, when he announced his campaign, that many illegals who cross the border are rapists.
One is Salvadoran, the other, origin unknown.
Neither is the upstanding family man who crosses the border, block-the-wall liberals tell us, only because he seeks a better way of life for his family, or even worse is “escaping violence.”
In fact, the two men brought the violence with them.
Girl Rescued
On Tuesday, the Toledo Blade reported, an Ohio state trooper arrested Juan Carlos Morales-Pedraza, a 33-year-old border-jumper who, police allege, abducted a 15-year-old girl in New Jersey.
He was headed to Chicago in a 2013 Nissan Sentra, the Blade reported, when a trooper stopped him on the Ohio Turnpike for a traffic violation. Neither Moralez-Pedraza nor his victim could speak English, Ohio Highway Patrol told the newspaper, but both were Salvadoran.
Officials suspected and confirmed that the girl had been assaulted and was missing from Paterson, New Jersey, the newspaper reported.
Cops charged the illegal Salvadoran, who they confirmed was previously deported, with abducting the girl “with sexual motivation,” Cleveland 19 News reported.
Sex Offender and Accomplice Suspect Collared
Bad as that case is, it’s hardly the worst of two. That story comes from Biloxi, Mississippi, and Harvey, Louisiana.
In early April, authorities in the two states collared an illegal alien and a woman accomplice and charged them with crimes in connection to the possession and production of child pornography.
The illegal is one Miguel Martinez, a 44-year-old charged with “internet crimes against children,” Louisiana’s Attorney General Jeff Landry announced.
Martinez faces 100 counts of possessing child pornography of children under 13 years old, another count of producing such material, and another count of sexual battery of a child under 13.
Martinez, the Sun Herald of Biloxi reported, is a rapist and registered sex offender in California. Immigration authorities deported him 2005, but lo and behold, he jumped the border again to continue doing the jobs that Americans won’t do.
Reports did not disclose Martinez’s nationality.
Police also arrested a woman they have charged with helping him, the newspaper reported.
After cops in Louisiana collared the border-jumping rapist, Attorney General Landry tweeted the obvious:
Illegal immigration has real-life consequences — countless numbers of needless crime victims, including too many Louisiana families and children. It’s time to join @POTUS in demanding action on our Southern Border. #BuildTheWall
The arrest should be a “wake-up call to Congress. By not securing our borders and properly vetting those coming into our Nation, we have seen lives lost and destroyed,” Landry said.
“I again urge Congress to realize the national emergency we have at our Southern border, support President Trump, build the wall, and help us make our communities safer.”
When Trump Got in Trouble
The arrests highlight the truth of what Trump said when he announced his candidacy for president in June 2015.
“When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best,” he said. “They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”
Trump explained that border agents told him what kind of people were crossing the border, but the radical Left and its open-borders allies in the GOP collapsed in a rug-biting rage.
Senator Marco Rubio called the remarks “not just offensive and inaccurate, but also divisive,” and Governors Rick Perry, Chris Christie, and Mike Huckabee agreed. Said Perry, “Donald Trump does not represent the Republican Party.”
Jeb Bush was the most incensed. Bush, who famously said jumping the border was an “act of love,” pronounced himself personally offended. Trump’s remarks, he said, “are way out of the mainstream of what Republicans think.” As well, “He’s doing this to inflame and to incite and to draw attention to his campaign,” Bush said. The “extraordinarily ugly” comments do not “represent the Republican Party or its values.”
Voters, apparently, thought that Trump’s promise to stop illegal-alien rapists from crossing the border was a bigger “act of love” than jumping the border, or Bush’s suggestion, of illegals in general, that we “politely ask them to leave.”
Bush pulled 0.1 percent of the popular vote in the Republican primaries.
