FBI Chief Patel Ends Bureau’s Cooperation With SPLC Days After Scrapping ADL

The FBI has cut ties to yet another far-left group that specialize in smearing white Christians and conservatives as “racists” and “haters.”

No more will the bureau work with the disgraced and discredited Southern Poverty Law Center, FBI Kash Patel told the Daily Signal.

The designation keeps a promise that Patel made at an anti-Christan bias panel in April. The FBI will no longer rely on politicized or ideologically-driven propaganda.

The FBI cut ties with the Anti-Defamation League earlier this week.

“Disgraceful Smear Machine”

Patel didn’t mince words about SPLC, which, as the Daily Signal noted, likely played a role in the attempted mass murder at the Family Research Council in 2012. SPLC had added FRC to its “hate map,” an hysterical round-up of groups that SPLC says are “haters.”

The haters included Turning Point USA, which SPLC added to the map “mere months” before the assassination of TPUSA chieftain Charlie Kirk on September 12.

“The Southern Poverty Law Center long ago abandoned civil rights work and turned into a partisan smear machine,” Patel told The Daily Signal today:

Their so-called hate map has been used to defame mainstream Americans and even inspired violence.

That disgraceful record makes them unfit for any FBI partnership.

On X, Patel elaborated:

Their so-called “hate map” has been used to defame mainstream Americans and even inspired violence. That disgraceful record makes them unfit for any FBI partnership.

In April, during our Anti-Christian Bias Panel, I made it clear that the FBI will never rely on politicized or agenda-driven intelligence from outside groups — and certainly not from the SPLC.

Under this FBI, all ties with the SPLC have officially been terminated.

Daily Signal explained how the SPLC targets people it hates, and how that targeting nearly led to the mass murder at FRC headquarters.

“After the [Ku Klux] Klan largely disappeared, the SPLC started targeting mainstream conservative and Christian groups, putting them on a ‘hate map’ alongside Klan chapters,” the website explained:

In 2012, a domestic terrorist used the “hate map” to target the Family Research Council, a conservative Christian think tank in Washington, D.C. He planned to kill everyone in the building. A building manager largely foiled the attack, but suffered lifelong injuries in the process. The SPLC condemned the attack, but kept the council on the “hate map” ever since.

That leftist nutjob, Floyd Lee Corkins, landed 25 years in federal prison.

The man who opened fire at a Republican practice session for the Congressional Baseball Game in 2017, nearly killing then-House Majority Whip Steve Scalise, had “liked” the SPLC on Facebook. The SPLC condemned that attack, as well.

Likewise, TPUSA still appears on the map despite the murder of Kirk.

“White Supremacism”

Indeed, as The New American reported afterward, SPLC accused TPUSA of “white supremacism.”

“The political right in the U.S., whose party infrastructure is dominated by the Republican Party but includes the current Libertarian Party and is flanked to the right by the Constitution Party, has embraced aggressive state and federal power to enforce a social order rooted in white supremacy,” SPLC claimed in an anti-TPUSA hit piece.

“Turning Point USA’s primary strategy is sowing and exploiting fear that white Christian supremacy is under attack by nefarious actors, including immigrants, the LGBTQ+ community and civil rights activists,” SPLC averred. Moreover, “TPUSA exploits complicated feelings of insecurity and anxiety to manufacture rage and mobilize support to revive and maintain a white-dominated, male supremacist, Christian social order.”

The Daily Signal noted that former Attorney General Jeff Sessions, who served during President Trump’s first term, ended bureau cooperation with SPLC.

But the far-left Biden administration revived it.

“Then-SPLC President Margaret Huang bragged in a 2021 donor meeting that ‘many agencies in the new Biden administration’ reached out to ‘solicit our expertise’ to ‘help shape the policies that the new administration is adopting to counter the domestic terrorism threat,’” the Daily Signal explained:

That wasn’t hyperbole. The Justice Department received a briefing from the SPLC shortly after it added Moms for Liberty to the “hate map” in June 2023.

SPLC has also been crucial to debanking or deplatforming conservatives that SPLC says are “haters,” the website continued. Top companies swallow SPLC’s bogus accusations of “hate,” then use that information to ”decide who they will allow to use their platforms and facilities. Donor networks worth billions have pledged to keep charitable funds from going to SPLC-labeled ‘hate groups.’”

Long ago, SPLC was unmasked as a money-making scam.

ADL Canceled

Disconnecting the FBI from SPLC is the second major blow this week to the anti-Christian radical Left.

Patel also unplugged the Anti-Defamation League.

Disgraced former FBI chief “James Comey wrote ‘love letters’ to the ADL and embedded FBI agents with them — a group that ran disgraceful ops spying on Americans,” Patel wrote on X:

That era is OVER. This FBI won’t partner with political fronts masquerading as watchdogs.

Patel was referring to a disturbing speech by Comey in 2017 that lauded ADL for its crackpot leftism.

In late September, X owner and Tesla tycoon Elon Musk has repeatedly called ADL a “hate group,” notably after its designation of TPUSA as “extremist” in 2019 resurfaced online.

The pressure apparently forced the outfit to scrap its kooky “Glossary of Extremism.”
