Attorney General Barr Orders Vote-fraud Probe

U.S. Attorney General William Barr has ordered federal prosecutors to probe what could be the most brazen heist since Jimmy “The Gent” Burke robbed the Lufthansa cargo terminal at John F. Kennedy Airport in 1978.

In a memorandum yesterday, Barr ordered his deputies and FBI Director Chris Wray to investigate credible allegations of vote-tampering on behalf of Democrat candidate Joe Biden.

On November 3, President Trump had all but defeated his 77-year-old opponent in key states. But Biden suddenly surged past the president and supposedly won not only the popular vote but also the Electoral College. Overly enthusiastic that their candidate had defeated Trump, the leftist media quickly dubbed Biden “president-elect.”

Last week, GOP legislators demanded that Barr and his deputies look into the ballot fakery.

The Memo
“It is imperative that the American people can trust that our elections were conducted in such a way that the outcomes accurately reflect the will of the voters,” Barr wrote. “Although the States have the primary responsibility to conduct and supervise elections under our Constitution and the laws enacted by Congress, the United States Department of Justice has an obligation to ensure that federal elections are conducted in such a way that the American people can have full confidence in their electoral process and their government.”

Though Public Integrity Section’s Election Crimes Branch typically does not investigate until “the election in question has been concluded, its results certified, and all recounts and election contests concluded,” he wrote, this case is different:

Such a passive and delayed enforcement approach can result in situations in which election misconduct cannot realistically be rectified. Moreover, this ECB practice has never been a hard and fast rule, and case-specific determinations and judgments must be made. While most allegations of purported election misconduct are of such a scale that they would not impact the outcome of an election and, thus, investigation can appropriately be deferred, that is not always the case. Furthermore, any concerns that overt actions taken by the Department could inadvertently impact an election are greatly minimized, if they exist at all, once voting has concluded, even if election certification has not yet been completed.

And so Barr authorized the memo’s recipients, including assistant attorneys general for the Civil Rights and National Security bureaus of the Justice Department, to begin work.

They are to “pursue substantial allegations of voting and vote tabulation irregularities prior to the certification of elections in your jurisdictions in certain cases, as I have already done in specific instances.”

The probe is limited to inquiries of “apparently-credible allegations of irregularities that, if true, could potentially impact the outcome of a federal election in an individual state.”

And officials should begin looking at the fraud now. “While U.S. Attorneys maintain their inherent authority to conduct inquiries and investigations as they deem appropriate, it will likely be prudent to commence any election-related matters as a preliminary inquiry, so as to assess whether available evidence warrants further investigative steps,” he wrote.

Will Deep Staters Do It Right?
Barr warned his deputies that they must remain completely fair, impartial, and nonpartisan.

Wrote Barr:

While serious allegations should be handled with great care, specious, speculative, fanciful or far-fetched claims should not be a basis for initiating federal inquiries. Nothing here should be taken as any indication that the Department has concluded that voting irregularities have impacted the outcome of any election. Rather, I provide this authority and guidance to emphasize the need to timely and appropriately address allegations of voting irregularities so that all of the American people, regardless of their preferred candidate or party, can have full confidence in the results of our elections. The American people and the leaders they freely elect deserve nothing less.

Indeed.

What the American people deserve is likely not a concern to those who have been trying to remove Trump for four years. Deep Staters in the FBI and Justice Department helped the Clinton campaign try to destroy Trump with false allegations of “Russian collusion” in the 2016 election, and then discussed a 25th Amendment coup attempt when they failed.

Last week, more than three dozen GOP congressmen wrote to Barr to demand an investigation.

One example of blatant vote fraud surfaced in Pennsylvania. In a notarized affidavit, a postal worker alleged that his superior back-dated ballots.

Even if fraud is found, swing-state officials in the tank for Biden might never see the inside of a prison cell.
