In another blow to the vaunted reputation of the China Virus vaccines, fully vaccinated Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has tested positive for the virulent bug.
News of yet another breakthrough case surfaced a day after the virus death of former Secretary of State Colin Powell, who suffered with cancer and had begun treatment for Parkinson’s disease.
Breakthrough cases suggest the vaccines are not as effective as advertised. The Centers for Disease Control has said more than 30,000 people have died or been hospitalized despite being vaccinated.
“Mild Congestion”
“Secretary Mayorkas tested positive this morning for COVID-19 after taking a test as part of routine pre-travel protocols,” a spokesman announced.
He “is experiencing only mild congestion; he is fully vaccinated and will isolate and work at home per CDC protocols and medical advice.”
Contact tracing is underway, the spokeswoman said.
Mayorkas is the first Cabinet officer to contract the potentially deadly Asiatic pathogen, and though he appeared at an event with President Biden on Saturday, news reports say Biden was not exposed.
Biden received another booster shot three weeks ago, Bloomberg reported. Neither he nor Jill Biden are considered exposed because they were together outdoors more than 48 hours before Mayorkas tested positive.
Mayorkas is quarantined and trying to protect others from exposure. But he has released thousands of virus-positive illegal aliens into the country to potentially infect and kill Americans.
Chances are, Mayorkas will be fine. Other fully vaccinated people won’t be, partly thanks to the flood of diseased illegals he unleashed into American communities.
As of August and since February, Biden’s border agents had released 7,000 diseased illegals into McAllen, Texas. And as The New American reported in July, Biden secretly dumped virus-positive “migrants” into La Joya, Texas.
Powell’s Death, Breakthrough Cases
Powell, 84, contracted the virus just before he was to get a booster shot, the New York Times reported.
The former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff “had been compromised by multiple myeloma, for which he had been undergoing treatment,” the newspaper reported:
He had been due to receive a booster shot for his vaccine last week, she said, but had to postpone it when he fell ill. He had also been treated for early stages of Parkinson’s disease.
Other fully vaccinated virus cases include congressmen, top Capitol Hill staffers, and members of the Biden Regime. Last month, fully vaccinated comedian Chris Rock announced he contracted the virus.
CDC has reported 7,178 deaths and 24,717 hospitalizations among the vaccinated.
