Football Great Herschel Walker Slams “Trained Marxists” BLM and its Enablers

As NFL begins to stand for “No Fans Left,” its support for the violence-stoking Black Lives Matter movement might have lost it a very high-profile one. Saying he was blind but now can see, football great Herschel Walker (shown) posted a video Wednesday on Twitter in which he excoriated NFL owners and players, other sports organizations, churches, and politicians for supporting BLM. Mentioning that the group’s co-founders have described themselves as “trained Marxists,” the 1982 Heisman Trophy winner plaintively asked, “Is this who you’re supporting?”

“Because a trained Marxist tells you they are anti-government, anti-American, they’re anti-Christian; they’re anti everything,” Walker elaborated.

“A matter of fact, they’re saying it with their own mouth,” the gridiron great continued. “They’re not afraid to tell you that.”

Quite true. There was a time when even rumors of being a Marxist could mean scorn and ostracism, yet now the United States has done a 180. Most striking about BLM and certain other leftist organizations — and most revealing about our civilization’s current moral state — is that these entities can be, and often are, quite straightforward about their nefarious goals.

For example, what Walker was referencing was a 2015 Real News Network interview (video below) with BLM co-founder Patrisse Cullors. Addressing the concern that her movement lacked a core ideology, Cullors responded, “The first thing, I think, is that we actually do have an ideological frame.”

“‘Myself and [fellow BLM co-founder] Alicia [Garza] in particular are trained organizers,’” Cullors continued, The New American’s Luis Miguel reported June 23. “‘We are trained Marxists. We are super-versed on, sort of, ideological theories.’”

Just as striking is what BLM has advertised, openly, as its “guiding principles” — as recently as just weeks ago. For example, one of its goals is to “disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement,” the organization explained on a page that was recently scrubbed from its website. (The statement can still be found here, courtesy of an Internet archiving service.)

This malevolent spirit has, unsurprisingly, been reflected in the actions of BLM’s storm troopers. Just consider the video below, in which BLM protesters can be heard chanting “What do we want? Dead cops! When do we want them? Now!” in 2014, and “Pigs in a blanket. Fry ’em like bacon!” in 2015.

While Herschel Walker may not know all the above details, what he does know was enough to inspire him to issue a challenge to BLM’s supporters. “Whoever’s for that [BLM’s agenda],” he said, needs to “come out and tell the American people, this is exactly who they’re standing for.”

When “you talk about supporting BLM, are you supporting the group that that said that they are trained Marxists?” Walker asked (video below).

Unfortunately, with today’s Gramsciesque schools and media, which suppress Truth and peddle falsehoods, many people don’t know. There’s a deeper and even more troubling problem, however: Also due to this brainwashing, “Marxist” is simply not a scary word to many Americans today — especially our younger citizens.

This ignorance of either BLM’s or Marxism’s nature and a lack of virtue are certainly reflected in how Meghan Markle has reportedly pitched a documentary about BLM’s Cullors as part of $100 million Netflix deal (she’s approaching the right company, too, since Netflix is already peddling a pedophilic work). Yet, tragically, Markle represents millions of “demoralized” Westerners. Just consider my past reporting below:

• September 2010 — “Americans’ Tolerance for Communism

• June 2015 — “Seeing Red: Will Communists Take Over Spain?

• October 2016 — “The Waning West: Too Many Millennials Are Cool With Communism

• April 2017 — “Brainwashing Shocker: MIT Press Releases ‘Communism for Kids’ Book

• May 2018 — “New York Times Hails Marx on His Birthday: ‘You Were Right!’

The above is just a sampling. But the point is that many traditional Americans may assume that the sole task before them is exposing BLM for the Marxist front it is — hard enough with a Truth-suppressing mainstream media — only to discover the scarier reality that many of their countrymen consider this a selling point.

As for Walker, he deserves great credit for coming forward and risking pseudo-elite scorn and ostracism by refusing to bend a knee before BLM. For an even bigger problem than growing affinity for Marxism is that too many wealthy, powerful, famous, and/or influential people bow before the Left for want of principle and guts. Too many of them fear social stigma or the inability to make their next $10 million.

And that’s how civilization is lost. It has become a cliché, but as Anglo-Irish philosopher Edmund Burke is often quoted warning, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”

Of course, if our sins of omission include failing to act as evil sweeps our land, we perhaps should wonder if we really are good men.
