True the Vote, a vote-monitoring organization founded by Catherine Engelbrecht in 2009, announced on Friday a $1 million fund to incentivize witnesses to vote tampering to come forward and tell their stories.
In a press release Engelbrecht said:
Unfortunately, there is significant tangible evidence that numerous illegal ballots have been cast and counted in the 2020 general election, potentially enough to sway the legitimate results of the election in some of the currently contested states.
True the Vote is stepping up to provide the resources needed that will ensure voters, election workers, and volunteers who are observing the extended ballot counting process – and seeing firsthand the illegal actions taking place – have the resources they need to document and report the malfeasance with the confidence that these issues will be pursued by every available legal channel.
The group has established an Election Integrity Hotline – 855-702-0702 – which already “has received thousands of calls reporting alleged incidents of fraud,” said Engelbrecht.

The group successfully outed an attempt to recall Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker in 2012. It enlisted the help of more than 13,000 volunteers to check the validity of more than a million signatures on a petition to oust him. True the Vote reported that those volunteers found more than half of them were invalid.
Englebrecht said that such an effort is going to be especially important this time: “We need a result that tells us whether the [presidential] election is legitimate, and that every vote is validated”, adding:
The vote integrity issues seen this election cycle … have largely been fueled by efforts to radically expand mail-in voting, which created numerous opportunities for voter fraud that does not exist with in-person voting ….
Validate the Vote aims to support the constitutional rights of every voter and expose, right and remedy fraud where it has occurred.
The president is likely to need her help. When Joe Biden declared himself the victor on Saturday, Trump responded:
We all know why Joe Biden is rushing to falsely pose as the winner, and why his media allies are trying so hard to help him: they don’t want the truth to be exposed.
The simple fact is this election is far from over. Joe Biden has not been certified as the winner of any states, let alone any of the highly contested states headed for mandatory recounts, or states where our campaign has valid and legitimate legal challenges that could determine the ultimate victor.
President Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani said that “networks don’t get to decide elections. Courts do.” Suits are being filed on Monday by the Trump campaign in at least six battleground states, including Arizona, Nevada, Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
Engelbrecht is inviting anyone witnessing voter fraud to call the group’s Election Integrity Hotline — 855-702-0702 — where their accounts will be validated and then forwarded to appropriate authorities. Specifically it is seeking “firsthand examples of election officials refusing to obey state election laws and counting votes illegally … includ[ing] ballots being counted after deadlines, election workers refusing to recognize challengers who seek to contest a ballot, or similar [instances].”
Her group’s efforts helped Walker in 2012. Her group is likely to help Trump in 2020.
