Plea Deal Possible for Kavanaugh Assassination Suspect, as Biden DOJ Drags Feet

Just about two years ago, a self-identified “transgender woman” called Nicholas John Roske, federal prosecutors allege, traveled to the home of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh to murder him.

Cops caught him red-handed; it’s a seemingly straightforward case. Yet the Biden Justice Department hasn’t tried the suspect.

Experts told the Washington Free Beacon that prosecutors hope everyone forgets about the assassination attempt so they can offer a “quiet” plea deal. And a recent court filing suggests that such a deal is ahead.

Given Roske’s deranged social-media posts and claim to be a “transgender woman,” one wonders whether he will plead insanity.

The Assassination

Roske traveled from California to Maryland to assassinate Kavanaugh, federal prosecutors allege, because Roske was upset that SCOTUS overturned 1973’s Roe v. Wade decision. Roe struck down abortion laws in all 50 states and ushered in the mass murder of the unborn.

The indictment of June 15, 2022 says he landed at Kavanaugh’s home on June 8 accoutered like a commando. He had a black face mask, chest rig, belly-band holster, and hard-knuckled tactical gloves

He also carried pepper spray, a black Gerber knife, a thermal-imaging monocular, and burglary and lock-picking tools.

To kill Kavanaugh, and perhaps his family, he carried  a Glock 17 9mm pistol, two magazines of ammo with 10 rounds each, another 17 rounds in a plastic bag, a black speed loader, and a Streamlight laser.

But the would-be assassin called cops to disclose his murder mission.

The attempt followed hysterical remarks from Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer, who warned that conservative justices would pay for overturning Roe.

“I want to tell you, [Neil] Gorsuch, I want to tell you Kavanaugh, you have unleashed a whirlwind, and you will pay the price,” Schumer raged. “You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.”

Schumer tried to cover his tracks by suggesting the “price” would be defeat in the 2020 presidential election.

Delays

Noting almost two dozen delays in the case since October 22, the last time Roske was in court, the Free Beacon reported that one legal expert said the case was a “slam dunk”:

“It’s noteworthy that after nearly two years, there is still no trial date or plea agreement in this case,” Gerard Filitti, senior counsel at The Lawfare Project, told the Free Beacon. “While pretrial motions would resolve questions about the admissibility of some of the evidence, including statements made by Roske, there is no underlying procedural reason why it would take this long to get to trial.”…

Filitti said that due to the case’s high visibility and political ramifications, it was possible prosecutors are seeking to “let public interest simmer down before a plea agreement is quietly announced.”

“Roske, who, according to news reports, is biologically male but identified as a transgender woman, allegedly intended to kill a conservative Supreme Court justice over an upcoming ruling that ultimately overturned Roe v. Wade — this case involves issues that are still very much at the forefront of political and social debate, and a plea deal would likely receive significant scrutiny and criticism,” he said.

Likewise, former federal prosecutor Charles Stimson told the website “there’s very little reason for the government to offer very much at all, because this is a slow plea. Slow plea is a term in the trial lawyer world for, ‘It’s a slam dunk for the government but the defendant wants his day in court and so they’re going to go through the motions of a trial.’”

The latest filing from Roske’s attorney says plea negotiations with prosecutors are “ongoing.”

“To permit these discussions to continue, the parties request they be permitted to provide a further status report on or before April 29, 2024,” the filing says.

More Trans Violence

A possible insanity plea might arise from Roske’s claim to be “transgender woman” and a series of demented social-media posts.

As Townhall reported two months after his arrest, “behind the Reddit username ‘AmericanNick,’ Roske posted a series of ‘Craigslist personals’ section-style wanted ads. A year ago, Roske penned a ‘[F4F]’ (meaning female-for-female) Reddit post on the ‘r/GamerPals’ subreddit, titled ‘Trans Gamer Girl Seeking Friend,’ with the tag ‘GIRLS ONLY.’ There, in the same forum, the suspect had introduced himself as his female alter-ego via another Reddit post: ‘Hi my name is Sophie.’”

But that’s not all. He also sought sadomasochistic homosexual sex, the website reported

In another Reddit post, the website continued, he wrote that he was “pro-abortion.” He apparently looked forward to annihilating humanity by abortion.

“I think that something as significant as consciousness should not be imposed on matter … without consent, and as a non-conscious person cannot give consent, being born is inherently done without consent,” he wrote:

If abortion were mandatory for pregnant women, no new people would be born, and thus no new people would experience suffering. If no new people are born, humanity will end and thus human suffering will end.

Violence by so-called “transgenders” is an increasing problem.

Just last week, a “trans woman” pleaded guilty to posting threats of child rape and mass shootings on social media.

Last year, a “trans man” murdered three children and three adults in a mass shooting at a private school in Tennessee.
