Biden Plans Mass Release of Illegals Over Failure of Flawed Border Bill

The Biden administration plans to release a new wave of illegal aliens to colonize towns, cities, and the American heartland.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Washington Post reported, hatched the plan to continue swamping the nation with illegals because the so-called bipartisan border bill that contained billions of dollars for the agency failed to pass.

The agency is supposedly suffering a $700 million deficit, and so ICE will simply free a horde of penniless, largely illiterate “migrants” to run hither and thither wherever they wish.

The Plan

“The bipartisan border bill that Republican lawmakers opposed last week would have provided $6 billion in supplemental funding for ICE enforcement operations,” the Post reported:

The bill’s demise has led ICE officials to begin circulating an internal proposal to save money by releasing thousands of detainees and cutting detention levels from 38,000 beds to 22,000 — the opposite of the enforcement increases Republicans say they want.

The budget crunch and the proposal also present a difficult scenario for the Biden administration heading into the spring, when illegal crossings at the southern border are expected to spike again.

The move will supposedly save money given the $700 million shortfall:

Some of the proposed cost savings would occur as deportations reduce ICE detention levels, but much of it would have to happen through the mass release of detainees, said the officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss internal deliberations.

A spokesman for the Department of Homeland Security blamed Congress because it has “chronically underfunded” the department’s “vital missions on the southwest border.”

Had the border bill passed, the Post reported, ICE would have received “$2.6 billion for deportation flights and $3.2 billion for detention capacity, money that would have boosted capacity by thousands of beds per day.”

Biden Is the Reason the Detention Facilities Are Packed

Upshot is, Biden and his impeached Homeland Security Secretary, Alejandro Mayorkas, are weaponizing ICE to exact vengeance because House Republicans wisely blocked the border bill. It would have spent three times as much money on defending Ukraine’s border with Russia than on defending the southwest border of the United States from Biden’s invasion of Third World migrants.

The bill would have spent $2.33 billion for “refugee and entrant assistance,” money that would have gone to leftist open-borders groups.

As well, the measure would have permitted up to 5,000 illegal aliens per day to enter the country before the DHS chief declared an emergency. Theoretically, if Border Patrol agents encountered an average of 4,900 illegal migrants every seven days, then 1.79 million illegals annually could try to cross the border before the secretary did anything about it.

As for Mayorkas, the GOP impeached him this week precisely because his policies, ordered and/or OK’d by Biden, led to the problem ICE now faces.

From Day 1 in office, Biden made clear that illegals were welcome. He illegally stopped the arrest and deportations of illegals.

Mayorkas took it from there.

As Article I of the impeachment resolution said, Mayorkas refused to comply with U.S. immigration law, notably by illegally creating his own policy, unauthorized by Congress, that merely being in the country illegally was not grounds for removal. He also stopped deporting illegal aliens on the grounds that they were convicted of a crime.

Another invitation for the invasion were the Biden-Mayorkas paroles — 300,000 Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans, and Venezuelans annually, in one case — that have already released millions of illegals into the country, likely never to be deported.

The number of illegal-alien encounters at the southwest border tell the tale. Since Biden took office, border agents have encountered more than 7.25 million illegals.

They knew, of course, he would release them.

In the three months before he took office, border agents encountered less than 80,000 per month, which was bad enough. The Biden Invasion began in January 2021, when encounters jumped 29 percent from 79,414 to 101,099. The deluge only increased.

This fiscal year through January 31, encounters have already reached 961,537, almost 8,000 for each of those 123 days. If that pace continues, Biden will break all records with more than 2.8 million encounters by September 31.

Within that teeming mass of humanity came criminals — thousands more than arrived during the Trump years.

In fiscal 2020, the last full year under Trump, agents collared 2,438 illegal-alien criminals. In fiscal 2021, nine months of which were Biden’s, agents encountered 10,763. The figure has increased each year since. Last fiscal year, it was 15,267.

A report from the House Judiciary Committee disclosed what Biden has done with deportations.

From January 20, 2021 through March last year, Biden released more than two million of five million illegals encountered, and failed to deport 99.7 percent of them. The report said Biden had illegally “paroled” more than 200,000.

But now, blaming Republicans, Biden and Mayorkas claim they must release even more illegals, yet another violation of black-letter immigration law, which requires detention and deportation.

Section 235 of the Immigration and Nationality Act requires illegals to be detained while their cases are adjudicated. As well, deportable illegals must be deported, and no one, including the president, can simply ignore the law and bring in and harbor illegal aliens, a federal felony.
