CDC’s Panel Adds Covid Shots to Childhood Immunization Schedule

On October 19, the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) voted unanimously to move toward adding the Pfizer and Moderna Covid vaccines to the recommended immunization schedule for American children. The schedule determines the list of vaccines a state can mandate for children to attend school. The panel also added Covid jabs to the CDC’s Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program, which will allow the agency to acquire shots without congressional approval.

On October 20, the panel made an official recommendation to the CDC. Per the CDC’s press release,

Today, CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) recommended updates to the 2023 childhood and adult immunization schedules, which includes incorporating additional information for approved or authorized COVID-19 vaccines.

In the next sentence, the agency seemingly tried to shift to local jurisdictions the responsibility for what happens next:

CDC only makes recommendations for the use of vaccines, while school-entry vaccination requirements are determined by state or local jurisdictions.

That may be true, but the updated vaccination schedule paves the way for local vaccination mandates. Speaking with The New American on Thursday, Florida Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo explained, “This is very clearly an attempt to pave the way for educational entities who want to mandate [Covid shots]…. This [vote] greases the wheel for that kind of bad decision-making.”

The CDC went on to reassure parents and caregivers that there is nothing to worry about in terms of safety and efficacy:

It has been almost two years since COVID-19 vaccines were first rolled out in the U.S., and nearly 630 million doses have since been administered nationwide, providing people with critical protection against severe COVID-19. ACIP’s recommendation to add COVID-19 vaccines to the routinely recommended vaccine schedule represents another step in the nation’s recovery.

The CDC’s own data, however, clearly show that Covid is not a major threat to children and does not justify the inclusion of experimental shots with no long-term safety studies into mandated immunization schedules. According to CDC data — for what’s it worth — as of October 1, children aged 0 to 17 accounted for 1,314 out of 1,060,506 “Covid” deaths, that is, deaths “with Covid,” but not necessarily caused by Covid. Children under one year of age accounted for 362 deaths associated with Covid, yet the CDC considers that it is worth their taking three doses of gene therapeutics for the “nation’s recovery.”

The New American has been closely tracking the federal bodies using incomplete and poor-quality clinical data to authorize Covid shots for children. See here, here, here, here, here, and here. The observations were reiterated by Dr. Paul Alexander, who said that by proceeding with this unscientific approach, federal bureaucrats destroyed whatever trust Americans have left in the federal healthcare bureaucracy:

CDC and its ACIP advisory group [have] lost all credibility. There is absolutely no clinical data to support this move by CDC. None. Therefore we really do not need CDC, NIH, FDA etc. We do not. They do not use data or science. We have never ever added a vaccine to the child immunization schedule without clinical data to support the decision. Here they did just that, with no clinical data.

Dr. Alexander went on to quote The New American’s interview with the founder and chairman of Children’s Health Defense, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., who pointed to the federal government protecting vaccine manufacturers from legal liability for injuries and deaths caused by the shots:

Once it becomes an approved vaccine, that shield — that freedom from immunity — disappears, and we will be able to sue them — unless it’s a recommended vaccine for children. Because under the childhood vaccine act, any vaccine that is recommended for children automatically receives immunity from liability even when that vaccine is given to an adult.

So Pfizer knows that it cannot afford to give an approved vaccine to any American because attorneys like me will sue them and bankrupt them overnight. We will make them pay for the entire pandemic. But if they can get it approved for children, then they’ll get immunity from liability, and they will not have to deal with the consequences of their behavior.

American parents are not enthusiastic about getting their children jabbed with Covid shots. According to USA Facts, only five percent of children under the age of 2, and eight percent of children aged 2 to 4, have received at least one out of three doses of Covid shots since they became available in July. Roughly two-thirds of children aged 5 to 11, who became “eligible” for the shots in November 2021, remain unvaccinated.

“Parents are very clearly saying, ‘No. No, thank you!’ And they are saying it in very large numbers,” said Dr. Ladapo to The New American. “On the other hand, you have Dr. [Anthony] Fauci, Dr. [Rochelle] Walensky … screaming from the mountain tops that these are really good for young people and children to take, and clearly that message is not resonating with parents.”

Dr. Ladapo went on to underline that at this point in the pandemic, the risk of Covid in children is extremely low, and that nearly 90 percent of them have already contracted and recovered from Covid. “It is very difficult to lower that risk more,” he noted. “It is really unwise to continue to push the product of which we continue to learn stuff about.” And what we learn looks troubling, such as the risks of heart issues. The surgeon general expressed his hope that parents will not comply with the harmful mandates:

My hope for people is that they stand up and they stop allowing themselves to be pushed around by other individuals who don’t have their best interest in mind. All of this falls apart without our cooperation, without our contribution…. They’re such bad policies that they can’t stand on their own. They need your compliance to function, to have any reach or impact.

In the meantime, numerous countries are curtailing their vaccination programs for young people. As reported by Dr. Mark McDonald,

Many European nations have already admitted this [that shots have harmed and killed more children than they have saved] and acted accordingly. Six of them have restricted or banned the use of Moderna products for anyone under age 30: Sweden, Norway, France, Finland, Iceland, and Germany. Denmark has restricted their use by anyone under age 18.

With the federal healthcare entities turning openly hostile to children’s well-being, it is up to American parents to protect their little ones from this brazen assault.
