If through some egregious political manipulations and machinations Kamala Harris winds up in the Oval Office in January 2025, her gun-control agenda will make Joe Biden’s efforts to infringe Americans’ Second Amendment rights look feeble and impotent.
Preview of a Harris Administration
Harris provided a preview of what her administration would do during her failed presidential run in 2020. According to Ballotpedia, her campaign website warned:
If Congress fails to send comprehensive gun safety legislation to Harris’ desk within her first 100 days as president — including universal background checks, an assault weapons ban, and the repeal of the NRA’s corporate gun manufacturer and dealer immunity bill — she will take executive action to keep our kids and communities safe.
She proposed the following:
Mandate near-universal background checks by requiring anyone who sells five or more guns per year to run a background check on all gun sales.
Revoke the licenses of gun manufacturers and dealers that break the law and take the most egregious offenders to court — regardless of whether they’re protected by the Protection of Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA)…
Close the “boyfriend loophole” to prevent dating partners convicted of domestic violence from purchasing guns.
Ban AR-15-style assault weapons from being imported into the United States.
In addition to enacting universal background checks, renewing the assault-weapons ban, and repealing the PLCAA — the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act — Harris will fight to make gun trafficking a federal crime, ban high-capacity magazines, and prohibit those convicted of a federal hate crime from buying guns.
Anti-gun History
A year earlier Harris had supported government-mandated buybacks of semi-automatic rifles, saying “we have to take those guns off the streets.”
She celebrated the passage of the “Bipartisan Safer Communities Act” (BSCA). Twenty-nine Republicans sold out Americans’ rights to help get that passed. Among many other things, the BSCA bribes states that haven’t yet passed a “red flag law” to do so.
Those “red flag laws,” it will be remembered, are an unconstitutional attempt to reduce the requirement in the Fourth Amendment that “no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause” to the much lower “reasonable suspicion” standard. Courts have yet to rule on such revisions.
That “bipartisan” act is an attack on the Second Amendment. It has nothing to do with stemming gun violence. It has everything to do with confiscating, under the color of law, every firearm from every gun owner in the country, thus paving the way for the imposition of a communist dictatorship on the once-free United States of America.
Communist Ties
And Harris, if not a communist in fact, has close ties with radicals, revolutionaries, and “community organizers” who seek to disarm Americans to pave the way for tyranny.
She slept her way to political prominence in California though an affair, at age 30, with 60-year-old Willie Brown. Brown, the state’s speaker of the House, was married at the time. He had close ties with communists, and rewarded Harris’ performance with various government positions. As DiscoverTheNetworks.org noted:
In June of ’94, Harris took a leave of absence from her job as a deputy prosecutor in Alameda County and was appointed by Brown to a $97,000-per-year position with the California Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board (CUIAB).
Harris then resigned from that board five months later and was immediately appointed by Brown to a $70,000-per-year job with the California Medical Assistance Commission (CMAC), a post she would hold until 1998.
Harris had no medical background whatsoever when she joined the CMAC, which was noteworthy in light of the fact that Commission members were technically required to have experience in health-and-medical-related fields….
The boards are considered plumb [sic] appointments as they require no work, no policy credentials, and are paid the equivalent of a full-time [state] senator for arriving at a one-to-two-hour meeting each month.
Pushing the Anti-Second Amendment Agenda
She supported Biden’s BSCA, noting in May 2022:
On the issue of gun violence, I will say, as I’ve said countless times, we are not sitting around waiting to figure out what the solution looks like…. We know what works on this…. Let’s have an assault weapons ban.
You know what an assault weapon is? You know how an assault weapon was designed? It was designed for a specific purpose — to kill a lot of human beings quickly. An assault weapon is a weapon of war with no place, no place in a civil society.
She celebrated being named head of the White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention, another illegal government power grab, saying:
The unprecedented Office is accelerating the implementation of BSCA, identifying new executive actions, partnering with state and local officials, and coordinating the first ever federal interagency response to mass shootings and concentrations of community violence.
The BSCA also contains restrictions on “ghost guns,” which Harris claimed were “starting to show up in school shootings”:
The Biden-Harris Administration cracked down on ghost guns by making clear that businesses manufacturing the most accessible ghost guns, including “buy-build-shoot” kits, must comply with federal firearm laws requiring background checks, a federal license, and inclusion of serial numbers.
A month later she claimed that “gun dealers sell tens of thousands of guns without a single background check.… This single gap in our federal background check system has caused unimaginable pain and suffering.”
Of course this is in line with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives’ (ATF’s) declaration that anyone selling a firearm privately, or offering to do so, is now a gun dealer and so must be licensed and regulated by the anti-gun ATF. The murder of Brian Malinowski by ATF agents in March of this year was committed to prove the point. The agency thought Malinowski had bought and sold too many guns privately. The raid that took his life made headlines across the land, making the point painfully clear: get licensed or die.
On July 17, YouGov and The Economist released a poll indicating that just 32 percent of Americans approve of Biden’s performance on guns, while 50 percent disapprove. Harris, if she somehow makes it into the Oval Office, will push Biden’s anti-gun agenda much further — with the ultimate goal of disarming every American on her march toward tyranny.
