Yet again, far-left Democrats are smearing Tulsi Gabbard, President-elect Donald Trump’s pick for Director of National Intelligence, as a Russian agent.

In 2020, when Gabbard briefly ran for president as a Democrat, the smear came from Hillary Clinton.

This time, the liars are Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz of Florida.

Reason for the smear: Gabbard supports a peaceful settlement of the war in Ukraine, as opposed to more U.S. intervention that risks all out nuclear war.

“In Putin’s Pocket”

Warren’s despicable smear, as The Washington Post reported, arises from Gabbard’s past comments about the Russia-Ukraine war.

“Hours after the invasion began on February 24, 2022,” the Post noted, Gabbard explained why Russia invaded Ukraine:

This war and suffering could have easily been avoided if Biden Admin/NATO had simply acknowledged Russia’s legitimate security concerns regarding Ukraine’s becoming a member of NATO, which would mean US/NATO forces right on Russia’s border.

“It is not strategically possible to think that Ukraine is going to beat Russia,” she told Fox talker Sean Hannity, a neoconservative armchair warrior.

Worse still, Gabbard advocated a cease-fire, “citing the alleged presence of 25 or more U.S.-funded ‘biolabs in Ukraine which if breached would release and spread deadly pathogens’ — claims that U.S. officials had denied when they were made days earlier by Russian officials,” the newspaper continued.

As The New American reported that same year, the United States did indeed contract to build at least one biolab in Ukraine.

Because Gabbard opposes U.S. involvement in Ukraine, she is supposedly “Moscow friendly,” the newspaper noted:

Analysts dispute the idea that NATO membership forced Russia to invade, noting that Finland and Sweden have since joined the Western military alliance without a similar attack from Russia. Similarly, fact-checkers have said that the claims of “biolabs” in Ukraine were false and were initially spread by anonymous social media accounts. …

In these and other cases, however, the views put forward by Gabbard mirrored those put out by the Kremlin and its surrogates.

Even if that’s true, Gabbard’s statements don’t make her a Russian agent, as Warren suggested.

“Do you really want her to have all the secrets of the United States and our defense intelligence agencies when she has so clearly been in Putin’s pocket?” Warren said on CNN.

This morning, Wasserman Shultz repeated the lie, and did everything but call Gabbard a paid Russian agent.

“She’s considered to be essentially by most assessments a Russian asset,” the far-left congressman said:

There’s no question. I consider her someone who is likely a Russian asset who would be — be as the DNI responsible for managing our entire intelligence community, hold all of our most significant intelligence information and secrets, and essentially would be a direct line to our enemies.

Four Years of Smears

The hate-Gabbard Deep Staters have been pushing the crazy conspiracy theory for years.

When Gabbard ran for the Democratic nomination in 2020, losing 2016 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton smeared the Army officer.

Speculating a third-party effort, Clinton said that “they’ve got their eye on somebody who’s currently in the Democratic primary and are grooming her to be the third-party candidate.”

“She’s a favorite of the Russians,” Clinton said, who included candidate Jill Stein in the Russian asset category:

They have a bunch of sites and bots and other ways of supporting her so far, and that’s assuming Jill Stein will give it up, which she might not, cause she’s also a Russian asset. Yeah, she’s a Russian asset. I mean totally.

In 2022, when Gabbard said the U.S. had established biolabs throughout Ukraine, losing presidential candidate and U.S. Senator Mitt Romney (R-Utah) accused her of treason.

“Tulsi Gabbard is parroting false Russian propaganda,” he tweeted. “Her treasonous lies may well cost lives.”

How, exactly, Gabbard committed treason was unclear.

The Real Reason They Hate Gabbard

Of course, neither Pretendian Warren, Wasserman Schultz, nor anyone else really believes Gabbard is a Russian agent or asset.

They want to bring her down because she opposes mindless U.S. intervention abroad, and said so in her take-down of lightweight presidential candidate and Vice President Kamala Harris.

Gabbard noted that a Deep State cabal of unelected bureaucrats is running U.S. foreign and military policy.

“Our foreign policy decisions are being made by unelected people in the military-industrial complex, who are profiting from us being in a constant state of war, and the national security state that has more power to undermine our freedoms and liberties when we are in a state of war,” she said:

Kamala Harris does not have the strength to stand up to the military-industrial complex and national security state. So she’s going to continue being a figurehead like Joe Biden has been. And … this is where the clear choice is in this election. Donald Trump is strong. As commander in chief, he will take charge. He will stand up to the military-industrial complex and national security state. He will prevent us from getting into unnecessary wars and make decisions that actually serve the best interests of the American people and our own security.

After that brutal assessment of Harris’ abilities, the Biden administration put Gabbard under surveillance by U.S. Marshals when she traveled.
