City officials in Philadelphia and Milwaukee (including Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter, left) have ripped the mask off flash mobs and denounced not “inner city youths” or “teens,” as the media describe the perpetrators, but violent young black men and teenagers.
Black flash mobs have ransacked cities and attacked by-standers, who are often whites, in cities across this country in what appears to be a summer of rage. The mobs have targeted merchants and pedestrians in Chicago, Philadelphia, Madison, Milwaukee, Atlanta, New York, Los Angeles and other cities.
As well, the race of the victims show that the attacks are racial.
Mayhem In Milwaukee
Two white alderman in Milwaukee denounced “African-American culture,” after racially motivated attacks in Milwaukee and the latest melee at the Wisconsin State Fair. While this may be a fair observation of the respective races of the perpetrators and victims, their statement may also reflect a lack of understanding concerning the exploitation of African-American culture by black and white “community leaders” who have deliberately inflamed racial tensions to further their own socialist agenda.
At the fair, a black “flash mob” perpetrated what a veteran of the Iraq war flatly described as a racial attack because the mob chose white victims.
WTMJ Newsradio quoted a witness named Eric, who asked that the station not use his last name. “It was 100 percent racial,” he told the station, noting that “young people beat on his car,” continuing:
I had a black couple on my right side, and these black kids were running in between all the cars, and they were pounding on my doors and trying to open up doors on my car, and they didn’t do one thing to this black couple that was in this car next to us. They just kept walking right past their car. They were looking in everybody’s windshield as they were running by, seeing who was white and who was black. Guarantee it.
Eric also saw a group of blacks attack a white teenager. “I saw them grab this white kid who was probably 14 or 15 years old. They just flung him into the road,” he told the station, adding:
They just jumped on him and started beating him. They were kicking him. He was on the ground. A girl picked up a construction sign and pushed it over on top of him. They were just running by and kicking him in the face.
Then, Eric talked about trying to get out of the car to help the victim:
My wife pulled me back in because she didn’t want me to get hit. Thankfully, there was surprising a lady that was in the car in front of me that jumped out of the car real quick and went over there to try to put her body around the kid so they couldn’t see he was laying there and, obviously, defenseless. Her husband, or whoever was in the car, was screaming at her to get back into the car. She ended up going back into the car. These black kids grabbed this kid off the ground again, and pulled him up over the curb, onto the sidewalk and threw him into the bushes like he was a piece of garbage.
The war vet compare the violence, the station reported, to what he saw in combat. “That rate right up their with it,” he said.
Milwaukee aldermen Bob Donovan and Joe Dudzik say enough is enough. They blame the black community for creating the culture that validates the flash mob. Nor do they ignore the race of the victims, noting, as war vet Eric did, that black flash mobs target whites.
“Let’s face it, it also has much to do with a deteriorating African American culture in our city,” they wrote. “Are large groups of Hispanics or Hmong going out in large mobs and viciously attacking whites? No.”
We are reaping the harvest that we’ve sown.
How so?
There are repercussions for the staggering illegitimacy rate in our African American community.
There are repercussions for having little to no positive male involvement in the lives of African American children.
There are repercussions for single-parent homes where children aren’t properly supervised, and where they aren’t held responsible for their actions.
There are repercussions for a staggering, decades-long near 50% unemployment rate for African American males in our city.
There are repercussions for having a failing public school system, and an outdated juvenile justice system.
There are repercussions for having one of the highest teen pregnancy rates in the U.S., and for having kids raising kids.
The aldermen repeatedly fingered black youths as the perpetrators and whites as the victims. “The community was shocked when the violent mob of African American youths attacked white people in Kilbourn Reservoir Park on July 3,” they said, continuing:
Then, a few eyebrows were raised at the F-bombs and shocking disregard and disrespect for Milwaukee police officers shown by a large and unruly group of African Americans at N. Richards St. and W. North Ave. last Saturday night.
And now this horrific mob violence near State Fair Park. …
We cannot begin to address the underlying causes of the violence without change. We believe that change must come from within the African American community, where new seeds must be sown.
Flash Mobs In The City Of Brotherly Love
In Philadelphia, Mayor Michael Nutter tongue lashed young black men, calling them an embarrassment to their race.
As the Washington Times reported, “In one episode, teens knocked down passers-by on a Center City street and entered an upscale department store where they assaulted shoppers.”
On another occasion, hundreds of teens gathered in a restaurant district and menaced patrons, forcing some restaurant owners to lock customers inside temporarily for their own protection or to close early.
In the latest event July 29, about 20 to 30 youths descended on Center City after dark, then punched, beat and robbed bystanders. One man was kicked so savagely that he was hospitalized with a fractured skull. Police arrested four people, including an 11-year-old.
The Philadelphia Inquirer, which did not identify the race of the attackers or victims in stories, quoted one of the victims in Center City, Jeremy Schenkel. A “shirtless kid punched him in the head,” the paper reported. “Schenkel fell against a car, then to the ground. His glasses flew off, cracked. He tried to shield himself.”
“They were throwing kicks at my legs and punches to my back and my head,” he said. …
The teens were laughing as they beat him, he said. The girls were too.
“They were laughing about it, like they were having a good time,” he said.
It was over as quickly as it began, he said. The 11-year-old gave up on the bag. They didn’t get anything from him. The mob ran towards Walnut Street.
As Schenkel reached for his glasses, one of the teens taunted him.
“It’s not our fault you don’t know how to fight,” he said.
The Inquirer news stories ignored not only the race of the perpetrators, in one case calling them “untruly teens,” but also the mayor’s hard-hitting admonition of black teenagers. The Washington Times did not.
“You have damaged your own race” Nutter said, the Times reported. He even attacked the accouterments associated with the violent culture of hip-hop and rap.
“Take those God-darn hoodies down, especially in the summer,” Mr. Nutter, the city’s third black mayor, said in an angry lecture aimed at black teens. “Pull your pants up and buy a belt ‘cause no one wants to see your underwear or the crack of your butt.”
“If you walk into somebody’s office with your hair uncombed and a pick in the back, and your shoes untied, and your pants half down, tattoos up and down your arms and on your neck, and you wonder why somebody won’t hire you? They don’t hire you ’cause you look like you’re crazy,” the mayor said. “You have damaged your own race.”
Nutter isn’t the only the voice in Philadelphia denouncing an increasingly worsening trend among young black men and teenagers. So has J. Whyatt Mondesire, chief of Philadelphia’s chapter of National Associated For the Advancement Of Colored People. Mondesire avers that Nutter’s delivering such a harsh message “took courage.” Said Mondesire, “These are majority African-American youths and they need to be called on it.”
Invaluable insight into the root causes of such racially motivated attacks was provided by Walter E. Williams, a professor of economics at George Mason University and a leading conservative black writer, who noted in his article (published on June 22, prior to these latest incidents), “America’s New Racism“:
These racist attacks can, at least in part, be attributed to the black elite, who have a vested interest in racial paranoia. And that includes a President who has spent years aligned with people who have promoted racial grievance and polarization and appointed an Attorney General who has accused us of being “a nation of cowards” on matters of race and has refused to prosecute black thugs who gathered at a Philadelphia voting site in blatant violation of federal voter intimidation laws.
Tragically, black youngsters — who are seething with resentments, refusing to accept educational and other opportunities unknown to blacks yesteryear — will turn out to be the larger victims in the long run.
Black silence in the face of black racism has to be one of the biggest betrayals of the civil rights struggle that included black and white Americans.
