Britain’s Prince Andrew, his reputation ruined by his close association with deceased sex pervert Jeffrey Epstein, has not cooperated with federal prosecutors who are still investigating the Wall Street financier’s sex-trafficking ring.
Federal prosecutors divulged the latest in the case in speaking with reporters in New York, where Epstein was arrested and indicted for multiple sex crimes involving girls as young as 15.
The victims can’t get justice because Epstein died in his jail cell on August 10 after what New York’s coroner called a suicide. And so far, Andrew, eighth in the line of succession to the British Crown, doesn’t appear ready to help.
Andrew Provides Zip
In August, Buckingham Palace told the online Daily Beast that Andrew would happily cooperate with police. “Members of the royal family would always cooperate with the police in an appropriate way,” the bland statement said.

In November, after an interview with BBC that finished wrecking his reputation, Andrew repeated as much in a prepared statement. Noting that he had asked his mother to be allowed to “step back” from his public duties, the prince wrote that Epstein’s “suicide has left many unanswered questions, particularly for his victims…. Of course, I’m willing to help any appropriate law enforcement agency with their investigations if acquired.”
Yet sources told London’s Daily Telegraph that Andrew wasn’t so willing after all. “Buckingham Palace is understood to be braced for US authorities to issue the Duke with a subpoena, requesting he gives testimony under oath over his friendship with Epstein,” the newspaper reported. “Sources have suggested the summons is ‘imminent.’”
Whichever was correct, Andrew has kept his mouth shut, says U.S. Attorney Geoffrey Berman.
Appearing outside Epstein’s opulent 22,000-square foot townhome on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, NBC News reported this morning, Berman told the media that Andrew has yet to offer help. “To date Prince Andrew has provided zero cooperation,” Berman said. “Jeffrey Epstein couldn’t have done what he did without the assistance of others, and I can assure you that the investigation is moving forward.”
Those others, meaning Epstein’s gofers and assistants, are a target for federal prosecutors trying to unravel his global sex-trafficking conspiracy. The list might well include Ghislaine Maxwell, the jet-setting British party girl who served, Epstein’s victims allege, as the convicted sex offender’s procuress.
Epstein-accuser Virginia Giuffre has accused Maxwell — the daughter of British press tycoon Robert Maxwell, an Israeli spy — of participating in threesomes with Epstein and Giuffre.
Others who might land in the crosshairs of federal prosecutors are the men to whom Epstein trafficked the victims. Epstein was collecting compromising information on them, Giuffre has said.
That’s one reason skeptics don’t believe Epstein hanged himself in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York. Epstein, that theory goes, could have been blackmailing the men.
Andrew: I’m Innocent
As for Andrew, he denies having sex with Epstein’s former sex slave, Virginia Giuffre, who has repeatedly said Epstein and Maxwell loaned her to Andrew.
During the disastrous interview with BBC that ended his public career as a royal, Andrew said Giuffre’s claims could not be true because of her recollection that he heavily perspired when they were dancing at a nightclub in London. “There’s a slight problem with the sweating, because I have a peculiar medical condition, which is that I don’t sweat, or I didn’t sweat at the time, and that was — was it — yes, I didn’t sweat at the time,” said the man who became known as His Royal Dryness.
That claim invited Giuffre to say that Andrew didn’t just perspire that night. Andrew was “raining sweat” on Giuffre, she recalled.
Another problem for Andrew’s claim of innocence where Giuffre is concerned is a photo of the two standing next to Maxwell in the latter’s apartment in London.
And hard evidence shows that Andrew and Epstein were closer than two peas in a pod. The British royal flew repeatedly on Epstein’s sex plane.
Andrew didn’t cut ties with Epstein after his sex conviction in 2008, which required him to register as a sex offender. Not until Epstein threatened to sue Andrew’s ex, Sarah Ferguson, who called Epstein a pedophile, did the prince end their friendship.
