O.J. Simpson Dies at 76 of Cancer

O.J. Simpson died yesterday at the age of 76 after a battle with cancer. Simpson’s family announced his death this morning, stating on his X account:

Simpson became famous after earning the Heisman trophy at USC, being selected by the Buffalo Bills with the first overall pick in the 1969 NFL draft, his career in sportscasting, and his roles in movies. Simpson was acquitted in 1995 for the murder of his wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman.

On April 10th, our father, Orenthal James Simpson, succumbed to his battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren. During this time of transition, his family asks that you please respect their wishes for privacy and grace. -The Simpson Family
