Apparently, even viruses have their political preferences.
Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, waded into politics on Sunday, joining the chorus of establishment voices calling on President Trump to cooperate with a transition to a Joe Biden presidency.
According to Fauci, the president’s refusal to work with the Biden transition team (due to the obvious fact that the race is not yet decided and neither Biden nor anyone will officially be the president-elect until the Electoral College votes on December 14) is hurting public health as coronavirus case numbers reportedly surge around the country.
General Services Administration Administrator Emily Murphy has thus far not signed documents declaring Joe Biden the winner of the presidential race, which keeps Biden’s team from having access to government information they say they need to prepare for a new administration.
The Trump campaign has filed lawsuits in various states, alleging fraud that swung the election in Biden’s favor.

Fauci, who has served in his current role for 36 years under six different presidents, was asked on CNN’s State of the Union if he would like to start working with the Biden team. “Of course, that’s obvious. Of course it would be better if we could start working with them,” he replied.
Fauci also stated, “You don’t want to stop and then give it to somebody. You want to just essentially keep going, and that’s what transition is. So it certainly would make things go more smoothly if we could do that.”
“It’s very clear that that transition process that we go through, that time period measured in several weeks to months, is really important in a smooth handing over of the information,” he stated.
Naturally, health advisors working for Biden are sounding the alarm in an attempt to scare Americans into believing that chaos will ensue if the president does not begin the transition process immediately, rather than waiting a few weeks to see what happens in the courts.
Politico notes:
“We are in a very dangerous period, the most dangerous public health period since 1918,” Dr. Michael Osterholm, one of Biden’s advisers, said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” referring to the Spanish flu pandemic of that era.…
Shutting Biden and his team out at this point in the pandemic could endanger public health by risking a delay in a vaccine roll-out, a national strategy for testing and the distribution of crucial supplies, experts say….
“There are thousands and thousands of career civil servants and political appointees who have been working very hard on this pandemic for many months now,” Murthy told Chris Wallace on “Fox News Sunday.” “They have plans that are in process. They have data they have collected that the public doesn’t always have access to — and to be able to see that data, see those plans, is what’s going to help us put together the best possible product in the end.”
“So those dialogues are critical,” he went on. “We are going to need that as soon as possible to make this all work well.”
The question Americans should be asking themselves is: What’s the hurry? Not the ostensible reason for the rush that the Biden team and the media cites. After all, how long does it actually take to obtain the information the Biden team allegedly needs to make their plans? Why do they need it right this moment when, assuming Biden prevails, his administration won’t begin until late January, anyway? Why can’t they wait a few weeks?
What it comes down to is not public health, as the establishment claims, but political propaganda. Their cries of COVID-19 alarmism are simply fear-mongering to convince President Trump to concede the race; even if he doesn’t concede, going along with the transition will effectively have the same desired effect, which would be to signal to the public that the race is done and over — that it’s written in stone that Joe Biden is the next president of the United States and there’s nothing anyone can do about it.
Everything about this “pandemic” has conveniently played into the hands of Democrats, most notably the push for universal mail-in voting that provided the perfect cover for electoral fraud. This effort to prematurely begin the transition under the guise of public health concerns is another example of why Republicans must stop entertaining the hysteria if they ever want to win an election again.
