If the chief of the Federal Housing Finance Agency gets his way, hate-Trump Democrats might have trouble buying a home in or around Washington, D.C.

For the fourth time, Bill Pulte has referred a far-left party member to the Justice Department (DOJ) for mortgage fraud. The target this time: Representative Eric Swalwell of California.

Swalwell, Pulte alleges, committed the same crime as Senator Adam Schiff, also of California, and shady New York Attorney General Letitia James. All are accused of falsely claiming homes in the area as principal residences.

Also referred to DOJ is Lisa Cook, a member of the Federal Reserve’s board of governors.

Swalwell

NBC divulged the case against Swalwell — also credibly accused of having an affair with a Chinese spy called Fang Fang — citing anonymous sources. The referral is not published online at this writing.

Pulte “alleged in a letter sent to Attorney General Pam Bondi on Wednesday that Swalwell may have made false or misleading statements in loan documents,” the network reported:

The referral, according to the source, alleges several million dollars worth of loans and refinancing based on Swalwell declaring his primary residence as Washington.

It calls for an investigation into possible mortgage fraud, state and local tax fraud, and insurance fraud, as well as any related crimes.

“As the most vocal critic of Donald Trump over the last decade and as the only person who still has a surviving lawsuit against him, the only thing I am surprised about is that it took him this long to come after me,” Swalwell told NBC. “I refuse to live in fear in what was once the freest country in the world,” the far-left Democrat continued:

Of course, I will not end my lawsuit against him. And I will not stop speaking out against the President and speaking up for Californians.

As Mark Twain said, “Patriotism is supporting your country all the time, and your government when it deserves it.” Mr. President, do better. Be Better.

Journalist Nick Sortor reported that “Swalwell not only committed mortgage fraud — he deemed himself INELIGIBLE to be a member of Congress, as he declared his DC residence his primary residence.”

Public records don’t show that Swalwell owns or rents a home in California, Sortor alleged.

Spending Other People’s Money

If proven guilty, the verdict would add to his other scandals.

In 2023, Fox News divulged that “Swalwell’s campaign spent nearly $583,000 on travel expenses during the 2022 elections, the filings show,” wasting more money than then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, she of the $13 per pint ice cream and $24,000 Sub Zero freezer. Pelosi only blew $434,000 on travel.

“But as many Americans struggled with skyrocketing prices, Swalwell’s campaign lived the high life,” Fox continued:

Throughout the 2022 elections, its largest travel expense was $20,240 to the Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay, where his wife was the sales director until 2019, according to her LinkedIn profile.

He also “burned through thousands of dollars in Paris, France, including $1,800 early last May at the five-star Hotel La Maison Champs-Elysées, where nightly rooms run from around $1,000 to $1,200 per night,” Fox noted

The spending spree in Gay Paree continued at the swanky Le Café Marly in the shadow of the Louvre. One of the “best kept secrets in Paris,” it features “Homemade Ginger Carrot Juice for $12 [and] Oscietre Imperial Caviar with two shots of Beluga for $120.”

Swalwell threw away $3,538.94 at the Ritz in Paris.

And the jet-setting didn’t end there, Fox explained. Swalwell wasted “$28,646 at Just Dreaming Yacht Charters, a San Francisco agency that offers ‘relaxing and luxurious’ private yachts for up to 40 passengers.” The campaign also covered $131,000 for child care.

But that was just spending other people’s money.

Fang Fang

More serious was his relationship with Fang Fang, real name Christine.

“Through campaign fundraising, extensive networking, personal charisma, and romantic or sexual relationships with at least two Midwestern mayors, Fang was able to gain proximity to political power, according to current and former U.S. intelligence officials and one former elected official,” Axios reported when the scandal broke.

But “among the most significant targets” of the fetching spy’s targets was Swalwell.

Continued Axios:

Fang took part in fundraising activity for Swalwell’s 2014 re-election campaign, according to a Bay Area political operative and a current U.S. intelligence official. Swalwell’s office was directly aware of these activities on its behalf, the political operative said. That same political operative, who witnessed Fang fundraising on Swalwell’s behalf, found no evidence of illegal contributions. …

Fang helped place at least one intern in Swalwell’s office, according to those same two people, and interacted with Swalwell at multiple events over the course of several years.

Then-House Speaker Kevin McCarthy booted Swalwell from the Intelligence Committee because of the link. His predecessor, Pelosi, refused to do so.

Other Mortgage Fraudsters

Again, Swalwell isn’t alone in facing the mortgage fraud allegation.

DOJ has indicted Letitia James for the same crime: misrepresenting a home as a principal residence. James owns two homes in Norfolk, Virginia, where her criminal relatives live. Cops have been called to the homes almost two dozen times. One home is the subject of the indictment; the other is in a criminal referral.

Adam Schiff committed the same crime, Pulte alleges in his referral to DOJ. The senator “has, in multiple instances, falsified bank documents and property records to acquire more favorable loan terms, impacting payments from 2003-2019 for a Potomac, Maryland-based property.”

Pulte further alleges that Lisa Cook falsified mortgage documents for a condominium in Atlanta.
